After a lot of thought I’ve decided to drop Raven from Isola for now. Still figuring out what’s going on with my hands and life is a shit storm, and I just feel like I can’t devote the attention to her (and her threads) that she needs.

For indies: I am taking a hiatus for an unknown time period.

I’m really sorry, all. There were some really exciting threads happening that I was excited for. But it’s just too much for me right now.

Shirou was not the most socially adept person. His worst habit by far was that he had no idea how tot alk to girls, he always seemed to get them angry at him without realizing, or maybe that was just Rin and Marie.

“Well then that’s not a problem you just have to get to know me, right…” Shirou said looking to the side for a moment feeling slightly embarrassed. His second bad habit was getting too enthusiastic and getting ahead of himself.

“S-sorry! It’s my dream to be a hero, so I tend to get passionate about heroes. If you want to get to know me I’m Emiya Shirou, a third rate mage, but maybe if I work really hard one day I’ll be a second rate mage.”

“I guess so,” Raven agreed, a slight smile forming. She’s fine, she can do this, this dealing with fans thing. 

“Raven. I don’t have all my powers right now, but if you want we can train together, I use magic as well. Do you have a specialty?” 

She doesn’t know why she offered to train with him. Well, no. She does. She misses the Titans and their joint training sessions. And it’s rare that she has the opportunity to train with another magic user. Raven hopes he doesn’t mind dark magic though, or else they’re going to have a problem.

Time to go watch some TT again. I feel like I’m not quite getting Raven’s voice here. Maybe because of hiatus? Ehh, hopefully I improve. I will try!

Cloud had no problem walking over to join the purple-haired teen, but her words gave him a bit of pause. And… confusion.

“Okay? I’m… not sure what you mean. That has absolutely nothing to do with me.”

What the heck was that about? Still, Cloud passed it by, for the time being. There were much greater mysteries in the universe than this one (such as: who though sacrificing people on a random cliff did anybody any good?), and if it was important to her, she’d get around to explaining it on her own time.

“I’m Cloud, by the way,” he added as he started out along the partially-concealed path. Really, the main reason people didn’t notice it was because it looked completely uninteresting - from here, the only thing to see was a tiny dirt path, and it was set rather out of the way. It’d take a minute or two to get even a little bit interesting.

It’s not really worth explaining, so Raven doesn't comment. It’s a long story anyway.

“Raven.”

She supposes it makes sense that the path wouldn’t look like much. If you’re going to throw someone off a cliff, you probably don’t want just anyone to stumble upon the scene. At least it’s quiet here.

Well, she hasn’t been struck by lightning or burst into spontaneous fire yet, so either this path is a sham (likely) or her demon blood’s no problem (unlikely). But  she doesn’t have anything better to do, so might as well go to the end. Especially after Cloud offered to come.

Raven has always been drawn to the things that other people stay away from, and so she’s drawn to the Lake of the Koi not for the Castle or crossing it, or any of the normal reasons. No, she’s here because she can sense what’s lurking down below and she’s curious. Curious enough that she doesn’t even notice the other person standing at the edge of the lake at first.

What I Never Wanted

Her whole life, Raven has struggled with the evil planted in her. Sure, everyone has an evil side and all that nonsense, but the darkness in Raven is true evil. Unreasoning malice and a thirst for destruction. It’s in her blood.

And she often wishes it wasn’t. That she wasn't associated with Trigon in any way, much less as his daughter. 

Raven had been wishing that less now. “The End” had come and gone, and the Titans had prevailed, and she had friends, a family, that accepted her for who she was. But here in this place she’s been brought to, it’s hard.

She’s never been very good at making friends. And dark magic and demon blood aren’t exactly things most people are comfortable with. Even her habit of just staying in the shadows has caused problems, made people fear her.

So secretly, she started wishing again that she wasn’t her father’s daughter.

After opening that present, the anger and cruelty that was always hiding in her subconscious was . . . gone. Raven feels lighter than she has in weeks. She even goes for a walk, and talks to someone vaguely familiar.

“Hey, aren’t you from when everyone was being attacked by dead people?”

Well, this to date is now my largest piece ever made, in terms of resolution. Also the most hours spent on. I’ve always wanted to try making something huge just for print sake and to see how my computer would handle it. Safe to say that my computer is now wheezing away. Raven is best teen titan girl, next to Blackfire of course. Also new Raven in the Justice League vs Teen Titans movie is great would recommend a watch! If you guys are interested in having a print of this, do tell me or reblog this. I Love Getting Presents From Strangers.

Raven has dealt with too many magic artifacts to just accept the present that has appeared in her apartment. Sure, she can’t sense any magic that she recognizes, but that doesn’t mean it’s safe.

After a whole day of staring at it and it just sitting there innocuously though, her curiosity is getting the better of her.

Of course she also knows if anything bad will happen, it’ll probably happen after she opens it. She puts it in some out of the way corner and tries to forget about it.

Next morning, it’s where it was the first time: at the foot of her bed.

“Well that’s creepy.” And just screams of some kind of magic. But likely that means she won’t be able to get rid of it until she opens it.

Fine.

Raven undues the bow carefully and begins peeling the paper away. She opens the lid of the box and it’s ... empty.

Well no, not quite. She can sense there’s something in it, but she doesn’t have any clue what, and it certainly looks empty.

When nothing immediately happens, she shrugs and goes on with her day.

But her day is going to be anything but normal...

I still don’t have a computer (you wouldn’t believe the problems I’m having) but my hiatus is up and I’ll be borrowing one when I can.

Probably won’t do replies today but tomorrow I will start doing so. Going to throw up an event Starter Call.

Still having problems with the computer situation. Not sure about this refurbished computer. So until I figure out what I’m going to do and if I should go brand new, I’m going on hiatus.

It’s Easy to Lose Track of Your Ally in a Zombie Fight When He’s Also a Walking Corpse

Raven almost takes him down, rabbit suit or not, when she realizes he’s (she??) fighting the other undead.

“I’m guessing you’re not one of the newly risen?” She inquires dryly as she kicks a zombie away.

William had pretty much thought he’d seen his life flashing before his eyes (   again   ) when he was attacked, but it seemed like the girl realized that he wasn’t attacking her directly. Still, he’d probably have a good grumble later, he doesn’t need his suit or body further damaged.

“Far from it.” He delivered a nice swing to a zombie, before pinning it down with a knee. “Brains aren’t all that appetizing, anyway.”

It’s okay, Raven, he was a dad once. Expect these shitty jokes.

He can grumble all he wants. Later. Raven probably will be, because she is not happy about this situation.

“Uhhh, I wouldn’t think so, what with the smell and all.” Raven is, unfortunately, used to such jokes, courtesy of her fellow Titans. True, they’re usually not so ... morbid. That’s usually left to her.

“Could I get a little help here?!” She’s surrounded and trying to NOT get eaten.

Raven immediately throws a shield up for the woman. 

“Comes over here, quickly.”

Hand to hand combat is not Raven’s strong suit, but that’s not going to stop her. As long as this person stays close, Raven can protect her.

⚙️ - As soon as the shield was offered, she dove away from the small horde that threatened to surround her.

“Thanks… Dammit, its like they never end.”

“Tell me about it,” Raven deadpans. “I can only hold this shield for five minutes, so get ready to move.”

“How about instead of waiting for them do off in that 5, we make a run for it? I have a free things…” She dug through her bag, pulling out a small collection fire crackers she likely stole from a busted store.

“Alright.”

Raven doesn’t bat an eye at the fire crackers the other’s pulling out. At this point shedoesn’t even care if people are looting. As long as they’re doing so to keep themselves safe in this chaos.

“On three, one ... two ... three!”
