fire away / / zitao & minseok
Zitao listened to the other’s words, softly nodding few times in understanding — he wasn’t too excited for the last year, though neither was he scared. It was an advantage for him to enjoy reading, writing and studying in general.
"I can only imagine", he said with a soft voice, correcting his position on the, surprisingly, comfortable couch he was sitting on. "But isn’t tutoring pretty much the same as studying? Or well, I guess it is more of a teacher-ish thing.." he pursed his lips at his own words, shrugging a bit. "But anyway, I am sure you will do well. From what I have seen, you are a good student— not that I ever sneaked a peak at your papers", he finished his words with a small smile.
"Tutoring is also a way for me to remember the topics, now that you put it that way." He smiles, leaning back on his seat, enjoying the surprises of a new perspective to something he's always done on automatic.
His eyes squint at the Slytherin's words, serious face looking at him up and down, in mock suspicion. "You haven't really?" Minseok says around a smirk, lips soon stretching to a full smile at the light teasing. "Are you bored enough to peek at teachers' notes or sneak into their class rooms?" He doesn't believe Zitao is the type for that, but he thinks that sounds like a good ice breaker for their school talk.
Me?❁-->Amelia&Minseok
thinks you’re cute thinks you’re cute THINKS YOU’RE CUTE
Amelia could feel her cheeks burning, her gaze scanning the Ravenclaw table hoping to catch who might he be talking about, but unfortunately for her almost all of Ravenclaw was watching and nearly everyone in the great hall. Amelia felt light headed all of a sudden. This couldn’t be happening, not to her of all people. She had thought no one noticed her, thought that she had slipped off everyone’s radar but she thought wrong. Apparently someone had taken notice and Amelia was left speechless and a bit angry.
Her stomach turned and she felt the little bit of food she had eaten crawling up her throat. Clamping a hand over her mouth, Amelia ran out of the Great Hall knowing she only had a few seconds before she spewed, she dashed down the corridor and stumbled through a door where she fell onto her knees and threw up onto the snow covered ground.
"Why me?" Amelia wailed weakly.
He had expected so many reactions, yet getting the girl to run away with a sick look on her face wasn't one of them. Minseok is frozen on his spot, concerned eyes following her figure while he half registers what his friends are telling to each other and yelling at him. He doesn't really care about what they are saying -- they can wait --, so he runs after the girl, a frown marking his face.
When he reaches her, she's hunched over herself and he hurries to the Hufflepuff, crouching by her side and instantly placing a comforting hand over her back, the free one meeting her hair and pulling it behind her neck so it wouldn't get dirty. Suddenly he's thankful to his roommates for knowing how to take care of drunk people.
"Are you okay?" He asks her when it seems like she's done, concern in his voice.

Slow, he had to remind himself, the taunting word like a mantra in his head — a thoroughly lust-clouded and uninhibited one. Slow, slow, slow. Even when he insisted the pace was satisfactory to both parties, he pressed himself to reach for a further extreme. Many would question why the hell he cared so much, and Myungsoo had no answer. Minseok had no meaning to him, only serving as another source of releasing his pent up sexual frustrations. The boy is meaningless to him. Yet, he feels that Minseok’s definition of a crush is going to change drastically by the time he’s finished with him — perhaps adopting a more literal translation.
A smile spread on his face when he received permission, suddenly digging into his back pocket. “You know how this works, right?” He reassured, aware that this would transform into a lesson otherwise. Retrieving two items, he tossed the two packets onto the parchment where his homework had been the previous purpose to their interaction. From how still the other was, he took the initiative and shrugged off his own jacket, casual enough so he wouldn’t pressure Minseok too much.
His reply comes in a quiet, nervous laughter, small teeth worrying on his bottom lip. For once, he's not the one who knows how everything will turn out; he's not the one in control. "Yes." He lies, not wanting to interrupt the moment and reasoning to himself that it must not be that different from what a boy and a girl would do. Minseok then eyes the two packets for a moment with a frown on his face, before turning his gaze back to Myungsoo.
Taking a deep breath to calm his heart down from the sight of those two items -- telling him that yes, this is happening --, he checks how the other is undressing, and only then realizes he still has a hand tightly grasping on Myungsoo's shirt, rumpling it around his finger. Tentatively, he starts to pull the fabric up, his other hand soon moving to help with the task until he's left speechless, carefully watching the way skin is revealed to him.

fire away / / zitao & minseok
"Yeah, it definitely does", Zitao let out a small sigh, running his hand through his blond locks. "I’d prefer it not. There is a good reason why I am here, and not there. Aish.." he shook his head, mildly annoyed by the noises. Good thing they weren’t more louder.
"In class?" he repeated the other’s words, lifting his eyes back up from his book again, in which it had dropped while Minseok had been talking. "No, I am good, thank you", he ended up shaking his head. "I have already finished all of my homeworks so I gave myself the permission to relax", there was a small hint of a smile on his lips as he pointed at the book in his hands.
It was a random book he had taken from the book shelf when he had retreated to the library. For now, he decided to settle it down since their conversation was going to continue. “How about you? Is the last year giving you stress?” his smile grew a bit wider, yet still staying as a subtle one.
Soon, as the other spoke, Minseok had his eyes on the book laying between them, but he can't recognize it upside down or properly see its cover. "I see." He ends up saying, looking back up at Zitao with a small nod of his head.
Last year. When he thinks about it, he becomes unsure and runs a hand through his hair, allowing himself to open up a little bit to the other. "Yes, there's a lot more to do, what with extra tests and decisions." He settles on saying, still wary to where their boundaries met. "Sometimes I can only use tutoring as a distraction." He jokes, although he did use the quidditch time the students had to work on papers and study, he also used it to rest from time to time.

A certain warmth fluttered at the edges beneath Myungsoo’s eyelids. It may have been the glowing fireplace that crackled beside them, but he believed the honey-coated moment between them fueled this golden hue. Moving their hands that he had intertwined, he held them against his chest, the back of Minseok’s hand flush to his steady heartbeat. Perhaps a twinge of guilt clutched at his heartstrings in that second, just as the tenderness of the intimacy began to creep among them, but he ignored it. The burning in his chest was akin to the fiery Gates of Hell, and he was accustomed to the self-loathe that seared his insides as his free hand slid into place on Minseok’s hip. In fact, he was comfortable with it.
It began with careful fingers digging into his hipbone, curling underneath the fabric of the boy’s shirt to meet smooth skin. All the while, Myungsoo’s lips moved slowly with Minseok’s, as if time didn’t exist and their only purpose was to savor this moment. He felt uneasy. Reluctantly, he parted, already missing the other’s taste on his tongue. His stare flickered between each of the Ravenclaw’s eyes, reading and gathering. “Is this okay?” He wished to reassure, a finger twisting at the hem of the male’s shirt to punctuate what he meant. Consideration wasn’t a language Myungsoo normally spoke, but there stood exceptions to his barriers.
Eyes closed and lips locked, Minseok feels as if he’s in one awfully cliché rom-com movie. He’s never seen the point in those before, but as everything around him seems to slow down in a blur, he starts to understand why they are so popular. Slowly, he tightens his hold on their linked hands, trying to ground himself to something safe from unwanted thoughts, specially when he feels another hand working its way inside his clothes. He tries not to pull away and holds himself closer by tugging on the other's shirt, but he can't help the relieved sigh he lets escape between gasps for air when they part.
They are still too close that it almost feels rude to look away, so Minseok wills himself to hold their gaze, licking his lips nervously because this is getting him even more anxious than when he had to move to the castle for the first time -- he guessed the coiling feeling in his stomach's due to experiencing something completely new. The boy nods to the question, quietly clearing his throat as not to ruin the moment. "I told you I trusted you, right?" He manages to say with a small smile, reassuring himself too as he waits, since he's not exactly sure about how this is supposed to continue.
Me?❁-->Amelia&Minseok
Amelia struggled to chew her food, the chicken dry and tasteless in her mouth. She snatched at a goblet and took a generous swig of its contents only to cough: Nothing wetted her throat. Angrily she swallowed the food and forced it down her throat with more water. This was the third day in a row she had no appetite. The stress of not doing her magic classwork was starting to wear her down.
Tomorrow’s another day, try to do it tomorrow. You can do it. Pushing her plate away, Amelia reached for her bag when a tap on the shoulder drew her attention away. It was a Ravenclaw boy she had seen before, he always had the class after her.
"Is something wrong?" Amelia asked hesitantly, heart pounding.
Minseok rolls his eyes and sighs for the uptenth time that day, not understanding why it was so urgent or why his friends couldn't do it themselves. Apparently they were too embarrassed, so they naturally convinced him to be the one talking to the girl -- he should be neutral enough for her not to know who originally sent that message.
Therefore, after he finished his food with protests from his friends to do it faster, he looks around and walks to the Hufflepuff table, easily spotting her. Minseok glances to his own table one last time and taps on her shoulder, making sure to put on a friendly smile on his face, as instructed.
"No, nothing's wrong." Unless his friends being childish. "I just came here to say my friend thinks you're cute."

As he resisted the inclination to pressure, manipulating words burning hot and dry in his throat, he knew that would topple him to the losing end. Patience, he repeated encouragingly in his thoughts, spreading out the reminder to his fingertips and using the reinforcement to tighten his fingers, threading them more assuredly through Minseok’s. “I think there’s something you should know,” he mumbled through the crackling of the licking flames that invaded the fireplace, the only aggressive giveaway to his deceit. He held the other’s stare persistently, building up whatever false courage he needed to execute his plan.
A shallow sigh of preparation followed, seeming to falter as he glanced every which way. “I’ve felt this for a while now,” Myungsoo began evenly, the lies scorching with concentrated acidity as they traveled out. “How do I say this?” He wondered as the faintest blushes of embarrassment dusted onto his cheeks. There seemed no better route that to blurt it out. “I like you.” The sentence sounded chopped and uneven, awkward to his own ears, his volume fading out by the last word. Slowly, as if he were afraid to disrupt the air molecules around them too rapidly, he pressed warm lips together.
Attentively, he paid attention to every move Myungsoo made, as if trying to decipher the meaning behind his actions. Minseok always knew he was oblivious to the matters of the heart, but it completely sweeps him off his feet when he hears the confession, his body freezing once again because how could he not have noticed something like that coming from his roommate. "I'm not--" gay. He wants to continue his sentence and explain why this can't happen, he wants to say how sorry he is, but his throat has seemingly gone dry as he notices the faintest of blushes on the other's cheek and he feels his own cheeks mirroring that.
And if it's really possible for one day to hold so many surprises, Minseok would say it was this day, when he received a kiss that made his eyes go wide and heart beat faster than ever. Slowly, he processes what's exactly happening and decides that, just this time, he will try not to overthink -- because Myungsoo's lips are warm and inviting, because he didn't feel even half of it when he had his first kiss two years ago, because his eyes insist on closing on their own accord. Minseok tries not to think about how they're both boys and instead, focuses on the way it feels nice when he presses back, and so, he pushes aside all his other instincts telling him to stop this and run away.
Ghost || Minseok & Neela
"I just moved. Well, not just. But recently. So, I haven’t had a chance to meet my fellow years or any one from my house." Neela explains with a slight shrug of her shoulder as she adjusts the strap of her bag on it. She doesn’t want to admit that since she’s been here— she hasn’t made any efforts at all to get close to her peers and future colleagues; mostly because Neela believes if her parents see how miserable she is— they will let her go back home. So far, no good. And Neela feels even more frustrated than before.
"I see." He nods slowly, biting his lower lip because he's not good with small talk (has never been), but he senses as though he must at least try to make a newcomer feel at ease. "If you need any help you can look for me, you know." He adds after a pause. There are no indications the girl might need him for something, and maybe she's settled already, but Minseok always thought it's better to be safe than sorry.
