Too often anymore I see Christians yelling, arguing, and despairing over how "corrupt" this world is. Do not get me wrong, I see the way some Christians are treated because of the extremists, but as for everything else, I say to you this. Why are you so concerned about it? Do you not remember what you've been taught? That eventually Christians will be prosecuted once again? Did you think it was a fairy tale that would never come to pass? But here's the thing. You already know the outcome. You already know who wins. So why do you fret? Why do you not trust in His plans? Instead you hide behind fear, despair, or anger. You argue, even amongst yourselves. You distance each other and even worse, those that should hear the word. You have heard Mark 12:30-31: "AND YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH.' 31"The second is this, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.' There is no other commandment greater than these." But too often we forget a verse just as important. Matthew 5: 43-44: "43"You have heard that it was said, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR and hate your enemy.' 44"But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,". So remember this as you scream at your protests, as you call names and condemn those that you feel have done wrong. Not only are you breaking one of the greatest commandments given, you are also pushing away those that should hear of God's love. Speaking of God's love with other Christians is great, but it is those you consider enemies that need to hear it the most. And for those of you that cower, that do not speak of your faith for fear of being condemned or hated, do not hide. "If the Lord is for us, then who can be against us?" You could save a life. This world will continue to be corrupt until the end of days. Do not help it along by feeding its hatred. Do not teach that hatred and despair to your children. Teach them to love everyone as they are loved. Teach them to give and to be proud and strong in their faith. And do not spread the message with anger and hatred. Spread love. Spread light. Little children are taught this in Sunday School in a catchy tune that we adults so soon forget. "This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine. Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine. Don't let Satan blow it out, I'm gonna let it shine."
