Spider-Man: Homecoming | 2017 | dir. Jon Watts
Nothing quite like mentor (parental) approval
I have this really strange head-cannon that Tony unwittingly gets invention ideas from Peter.
Like, Peter is over at the New Avenger’s facility one day and goes to turn on his bluetooth headphones. But they immediately die. So he gets pissy.
Peter: Oh my god, are you serious!?
Tony: What’s up, squirt?
Peter: My headphones are dead. Ugh, they’re going to take like, an hour to charge. I seriously need insta-charge for these things.
And of course Tony is just like…
Tony: …I can make that. Easy.
And then he ends up making the product and patenting it in like, a day. But he doesn’t care about the revenue it brings in so he tells Pepper to throw it in a savings account for Peter’s college.
On Battlegrounds, the first and the last.
Gets me everytime

My dad never really gave me a lot of support and I’m just trying to break the cycle of shame.
Tony gives the Guardians a run down before the Thanos fight.
Mr. Stark: *calls peter son once in public*
Media: PETER PARKER OR PETER STARK
Media: TONY STARK’S ILLEGITIMATE SON
Pepper: Tony you need to do a press conference to sort this out. Just tell them he’s not your son
Tony: *at the press conference* Hello yes this is my kid Peter Parker-Stark, the sole heir to my research, my fortune, and my company
Pepper: why do i even try

IronDad Moments Part 3 of 3
Tony: Good enough? You’re the best of us, Spider-Man.
Peter: I don’t mean Spider-Man. I mean am *I* good enough?
Tony: Not good enough? Peter, you’re more than good enough. Where is this coming from?
Peter: I just feel like I mess up all the time...
Tony: I mess up all the time. Trust me. You’re better than me. Better than all of us, Peter Parker.
Peter: Thanks, Tony.
Tony: It’s the truth. I love you, Pete. You’re my kid.
Peter: Seriously? I... you know...
Tony: I know, kid.
IronDad Moments Part Two
Tony: So, what’s stressing you?
Peter: I don’t know... just school and stuff?
Tony: Stuff? What’s going on?
Peter: I don’t know... just worried, I guess.
Tony: what are you worried about?
Peter: Do you think I’m good enough?
IronDad Moments (Part 1 of 3)
Peter: Tony
Tony: Hey, Pete. Come in.
Peter: Hey
Tony: you ok?
Peter: just kind of stressed. Can I work with you?
Tony: of course. Anytime.
Peter: thanks

Peter: You aren't coming with me?
Tony: I'm not your dad, Peter. [hands him a lunchbox] Here are your sandwiches. I'll pick you up at five.
