I told my mom I have depression and that I can do something stupid any moment and she cried and she said I shouldn't let depression control me and I should always pray and be thankful to God for the life He'd given me...

Unfortunately a belief in God blinds people to the importance of medical science. Praying is not going to do anything about your depression. In fact quite the opposite you are more likely to feel like a failure because your communications with God do not change the symptoms of your illness. I’m not sure what age you are but if you can I would try to go and see your doctor and discuss with him/her.
