i’m really looking forward to having an apartment with the love of my life. we’re going to paint the walls yellow, go antique shopping, get our first pet, make art, and have tea in the morning together.

no one cares, but i thought i'd vent a lil' bit. this song is about the whole trials we went through with my mother. a lot of times it felt like i was supposed to love her because she was my mother, but as time went on, i realized that our dna has little to do with our actual relationships and kindness shown in life. the concrete i talked about is this 'gray' area i find resting in certain places of my thoughts. in these areas are unsettled realizations and understandings of how i really feel. sometimes i tend to allow these gray areas to keep me tied down rather than actually looking into and examining a situation or a 'settled' dispute.
