I do really hate the way furry twitter took the tadc finale as a reason to start making tons of jax pinups or porn. I guess it's no different from how the internet treats every popular cartoon character. But like damn, have some respect for a tragic character? Saw someones cosplay pinups of Reze chainsawman in a wedding dress and it made me feel the same way. It didn't read like "dreaming of a happy ending despite the horrors" it read like an anime dork refusing to look at the sad feelings and wanting out-of-character domestic waifu fantasy instead. almost as bad as the people who want to dominate Makima

i like "social ergonomics" bc like yeah. furniture is usually made in a way that's like "we think this is probably what is needed for a human to immediately perform any given task" and often we are wrong about what types of furniture or spaces will have a detrimental long term impact on our bodies. ergonomics ideally looks at the evidence of the impact on bodies and then works backwards from there to come up with design.

social ergonomics should mean looking at social structures and analyzing the outcomes they have re: human welfare, and then taking that information back to the design board and redesigning things to hurt people less.

this should also be a zine. someday. but that would require me being able to sit upright

My partner is a game designer. He crafts experiences intended to elicit specific behaviors from thousands of strangers as his full time job. I'm taking an online Differential Equations class and there's straight up no teaching. No lecture recording, no video, no written lessons, no textbook. Just 15 homework problems

And I hate to say it, but, in this scenario, chatgpt is my best resource. I can punch in the problem and have it explain it step-by-step, and I can check it's right because the online homework doesn't accept wrong answers. Now that I think I know what I'm doing, I can try the problem myself, and when it comes back incorrect I can go slowly through the gpt steps until I find my error, and stop there and try the rest of it on my own. Crucially - when I want to understand why I'm doing a particular step I can ask it to explain, and I can get a real understanding of the steps I'm taking. I couldn't ask a professor for clarification as frequently as I can get answers here, even if I had access to a prof
