“Look, it’s fine- it was just a little hit on the head. Nothing to worry about.” Rayna commented, squinting as the other flashed a bright light in her eyes, having a sense of deja vu and crossing her fingers in hopes that the other wouldn’t pick anything up from her past injuries. “I didn’t need to come here, people were just being sensitive and overprotective, I’m fine.”

Rayna jumped at the loud clap of thunder that echoed in the small doorway she was huddled in with another, “Don’t look at me like that.” She grumbled, her fingers tapping against her leg. “I don’t deal well with thunder and lightning, never have done. Probably something to do with the fact that it’s hardly ideal flying weather.” She tried to justify.

“Not yet,” Zoe said with a slight chuckle, choosing to ignore the comment about messing around. “Working on it though,” she said. “I’m Zoe, I’m here for some sort of comm training?” She added.
"Hero, Sidekick or Techie?” She asked the other, “Or are you someone like me who is none of those because they weren’t graced with abilities but still badass?” She smirked, leaning against the back of a chair as she crossed her arms over her chest. “They’re on break at the moment, shouldn’t be too long until they’re back though.”

“Well- are you going to elaborate on those things that you like. Or are you going to keep me guessing?”

“Favorite sibling you say? What an absolute honor, considering I’m your only damn sibling,” she rolled her eyes slightly but a smile was on her lips. Winnie had started unpacking things from the basket once they had chosen a place to set up. At Rayna’s question Winnie all but scoffed, “Who do you take me for? Of course there are Vaughn PB&Js. I’d have to cancel myself if I hadn’t brought those. It was the first thing I made actually,” she admitted, fishing out one wrapped neatly in aluminum foil before handing it to her sister. “Here you are.”
“Hey, just because you’re my only sibling doesn’t automatically give you the title of favorite. You have to work for that position.” Rayna smirked at the blonde, watching the way her younger sister rolled her eyes at her. For what was probably the billionth time in her life. “Yeah, I’d be getting up and leaving if you had forgotten those, so good call.” She teased the other, taking the sandwich and unwrapping it before taking a bite. “So good.”

Zoe stepped into the communications center with some light hesitation, she still felt totally out of her depth and maybe becoming a super was one of her less great ideas. She looked around a bit and tried to ease her nerves. “Hello?” She called, trying to see if anyone was in.
“Hi- I wasn’t messing around with the computers, you can’t prove anything.” Rayna commented, stepping back with her hands in the air as she looked at the other. “Oh, newbie. I don’t need to be concerned with someone threatening to electrocute me, great.”

Jay shrugged slightly. “I mean, being in the army and being stations to hot places, you learn to hate sunny days, and also hate flying,” he replied.
“Do you actually like anything? Puppies? Rainbows? Ice cream? There has to be something.”

“Have I ever told you that you’re my favorite sibling.” Rayan beamed, ruffling up Winnie’s hair as she led them out onto a spot on the air field which was quiet and where they’d be undisturbed during her lunch break. “I can’t wait to see what you’ve packed- wait! Please tell me you’ve got some Vaughn PB&J’s in there?”

Louis laughed at the joke he’d just been told but sensed someone looking and turned, “Oh sorry, was that too loud?”

“I mean I think you’ve just missed the pitch on where dogs would come rushing in thinking they had been summoned.” Rayna commented as she looked to the other. “But clearly something was incredibly funny, how about you share, I could do with a good laugh.”

“We still have a bunch of those sparkly heart straws left from Valentine’s Day so would you like me to add one of those to your drink?” Valeria asked as she took their drink order, “Free of charge of course– I’m not a monster. I just have stock to get rid of.”
“Are you trying to buy my attention with sparkly straws and hearts?” Rayna commented narrowing her eyes at the other, “Because you know you don’t need to do that right, all you have to do is say hi and my attention is yours.”

Nodding, Valeria moved to make Rayna’s usual order. When asked about having flown before, she sighed slightly. This felt like treading on thin ice. But it would be more suspicious if she didn’t at least tell some of the truth. “Yeah it was a long time ago,” she admitted. “A few years back. But I love my job running the bar.”
Rayna stayed quiet for a moment, watching as the other made her drink before speaking. “What are you doing tomorrow morning?” She spoke, “Do you think you could squeeze in some time with me on the air field? I won’t tell on you for flying one of their planes if you don’t.”

“It’s been nice weather since the snowstorm thankfully, and today was an ideal day for flying,” she nodded to herself at Rayna’s response, wiping own the counter as she listened further. Valeria stopped mid-wipe at the blonde’s flirting. She tried not to let it get to her head, but it was certainly hard. “It’s always a pleasure to see you in here,” Val admitted, trying not to let the remark go too far. She worried about ever getting too close to Rayna again because it would lead to having to tell her the truth. Valeria wasn’t sure she’d ever be prepared for that. “What can I get you today? The usual?”
“The usual.” She smiled, “You said you used to fly right?” Rayna blinked, sometimes it was hard to remember small things, even now- but she had a brief memory of the other being in a plane, or saying she flew. “When was the last time you flew?”

“And he said that, totally thinking he could just get away with it?” Tessa asked the other in disbelief.

"Yup.” Rayna commented, ice pack on her hand as she used to other to bring the bottle of beer to her lips. “Little did he know who he was dealing with, the look on his face was outstanding, I was delighted.”

“Someone seems like they’re in a good mood today,” Valeria commented upon seeing the other. “May I ask the reason?”

“The reason is that I’ve just touched ground and nothing put’s me in a better mood then being in the air.” Rayna commented, sitting on a stool opposite the other. “Seeing your face helps my mood too.” She flirted, smiling at the other as she rested her chin on her hand.
