guys! i was talking to @bertieandherboyscout and @nisaachearts and we came up with a very real possibility of a crossover between Ghosts CBS and Ghosts BBC in the near future
*just a bit of context* whenever we start theorizing, we make sure to look up the episode titles (partly because English isn't our first language, and we don't want to miss any hidden references). So when we searched for 'Across the Pond', and it said: āthis idiom means 'on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean', and is used to refer to the US or the UK depending on the speaker's location.ā (link)
we were like āhold up a secondāā, and just like that, we started digging for more evidence to back this up. Here's what we found:
according to IMDb, the episode 'Across the Pond' will feature a British actor: Dominic Burgess playing a character named 'Winston.'
in an interview, Devan teased the finale with āIntercontinentalā... and then āCastle?ā
Ben's shirt: a page that's already seen the episode posted some spoiler images with no context, and this was one of them. Coincidence...?
this medieval armor that Pete comes across that seems pretty consistent with the armor used in 16th century Europe (or something like that, we're not history experts, so don't take our word for it lol)
and now, some behind-the-scenes details that make this theory even more interestingā¦
a photo of Asher with Jim, taken on April 10th (almost two months after the Ghosts BBC movie confirmation)
a recent interview where Asher himself said he wanted a crossover with Ghosts BBC...
now let's connect everything to the possible plot we're looking at
season 5 is definitely ending on a cliffhanger as Asher (ofc it had to be him) mentioned right here. And maybe (just maybe), the cliffhanger he's referring to involves Pete not making it back to Woodstone... because he found Button House instead
the ghosts BBC movie is called āGhosts: The Possession of Button Houseā, and since possession is something new to the BBC Ghosts universe, who better to explain how it works than someone who's already watched it happen a *few* times? (aka our boy pete)
and on top of that, the movie premieres on October 23, 2026 (right around Halloween, which is also when Ghosts CBS will return for a Halloween special)
so while the Woodstone ghosts are worried about Pete's return... he might just be hanging out with Pat and Julian instead (that would be incredible like i canāt evennn)
pete might not be directly part of the movie's plot, but that doesn't mean he couldn't contribute in some wayā¦even just a mention of him being there would be amazing and honestly, it would bring us one step closer to an actual, aired crossover between the two shows
okay, there might be a few holes in this, like how long Pete could realistically stay away from the mansion; plus, we don't have the BBC movie synopsis yet, and the Ghosts CBS finale episodes haven't aired, so we can't 100% confirm or rule anything out⦠*but* hey, theorizing is part of being a fan, so what do you all think?
