SPMT Orientation Camp 17/18

In my second year in Singapore Poly Muay Thai, I took on the role of Publicity Head for the club’s Freshmen Orientation Camp. I was assigned to design the camp t-shirts, as well as publicity posters and flyers to be put up and given out around the campus during the school’s CCA Carnival.

The organising committee decided to go along with an animal or predator/prey camp theme, thus the name “Beast Camp”. The camp participants then consisted of 4 groups: Predators (seniors and organising committee), Omnivores (game masters), Saviours (group leaders) and Herbivores (campers). The camp t-shirt design includes a tiger head and a hand wrap, two things to suit the theme and two things that people can associate muay thai with. They came in red and white so that campers are able to better identify seniors, the organising committee and their group leaders.

24:26 is an album by South Korean rapper, Beenzino, released in 2012. These are 1400px by 1400px typographic album cover designs, with the album title, artist name and track list on it.

As an in-class exercise, 5 variations for this album cover design were created. Light blue: 1 font size, 1 font weight Yellow: 1 font size, 2 font weights Green: 2 font sizes, 1 font weight Dark pink: 2 font sizes, 2 font weights Brown: Any size, any weight

PRCDNC

The DMAT Show Series is an event for students of Singapore Polytechnic's Diploma in Music and Audio Technology (S97), or DMAT, to showcase their originals and also to perform covers of different songs, with a variety of genres ranging from pop, rock, ballad, punk rock and more.

In collaboration with SP Comperes, SP Videography Club and SP Stage Management Club, PRECEDENCE is a show to kickstart their 7th, Resonance. The use of lines in this poster design, specifically 5, symbolises those in musical sheets while the formation of the arrow goes back instead of forth, symbolising this show comes before another. Malacca Photobook (2016)

Subsequent to an enlightening course trip to Malacca, Malaysia in October 2016, this photobook is a vibrant visual record of a few of the many sights and places. Malacca’s aim of preserving its heritage is so definite that the state’s significant tie to the different cultures and traditions is evident in its structure, streets and people. There is plenty to do and experience there. Additionally, Malacca’s history contributed to its earned title of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Peperoni Pizzeria

Peperoni is known for serving wood-fired pizzas and traditional pastas. It is a place a little off the mainstream that ensures its customers great food and a casual and no-frills dining experience. It becomes a favourable destination among friends and family with their own ‘Appetite for Life’ philosophy. This philosophy makes Peperoni more than just a restaurant, as it is a place with a mission - to bring people together, to bind relationships, and to savour life in all its delightful flavours.

In this branding assignment, I focused on the warm and friendly image of Peperoni by incorporating human touch with faces, expressions and speech. The logo consists of two people simultaneously thinking about pizza and Peperoni, showing that Peperoni is the go-to place for pizza with friends and family, which goes hand in hand with the restaurant’s mission.
