I'm first? No way. I guess I just have that reach. It does shock me a bit sometimes, even though I'm used to it.

As for "Naive Clover characterization", uhhh. I don't really like it. I think anyone who's been following me for long enough [either here or especially twitter] should know how I feel about characterizing them.

Factoring in R&Y, Clover is stupid, but they're also... not. Their incredibly bubbly demeanor is a facade, but not one that is completely false to their true self. They're not really naive, at all.

Honestly, I think interpreting them as such kind of clashes with their whole thing: Justice. How does one pass judgement when they can't tell when something/someone's bad or not?

Take it from this excerpt of a comic I did after R&Y Genocide got a rewrite. Which I think I forgot to post that comic here.

hey, do you think Undertale Yellow Clover and Undertale Chara would actually get along? In what way and how would they get along, what would it take it to be in a relationship (of any kind that's not hatred incarnate)‎

I am going through the Tumblr tag and asking the same questions to people I see there.

I tried answering this a few weeks ago but because I wasn't really satisfied with it and stored it away. Now that I'm back in the trenches I feel I can answer this a lot better so here we go-

I'm honestly taking a couple things from UTRY (even if I have my criticisms about it, there are concepts that are Fun and it's my biggest frame of reference for thinking about those two as a copow enjoyer, so I'm inherently biased if that's not what you're looking for).

If those two ever get along, it would probably take a verrryyyyyyy long time. I'm talking in any non-confrontational circumstances months or maybe years. First impressions would not be great, mostly instigated by Chara and their whole hating humans deal. But I do think both of them hold so strongly to their own beliefs (Chara being very black and white, Clover wanting to see the best in everything) that butting heads would be the easiest thing for either of them to do at first.

They would need to be in each others presence for long enough that the two of them might see their similarities and end up with a begrudging truce to eventual understanding respect. Both highly sacrificial to the end and willing to put in the work to do so when it came to helping monsters. Going so far as to do what they did, to give up their own selves even if no one wanted them to. Again, probably very slow burn unless they were forced to work together, mainly Clover would try to get closer overtime to understand Chara. And the first few tries would certainly not be appreciated.

i could see the idea that Chara could exploit Clover having anger issues to intentionally antagonize them, push them away, or try to reiterate that humanity is bad. I can see Clover thinking Chara might be someone who's mind they have to change, becoming more and more frustrated with them making increasingly impulsive actions to try and change their mind.

Whether or not it actually works could be up to interpretation. It could depend on how far along they are in their respective arcs, if it's a revival AU or timeline switch, or whatever.

I think, the whole point of this is to have fun to imagine the what-ifs, rather than have a set in stone 'this is what happens.' Enemies, friends, partners, whatever you like is always on the table as long as you're respectful of other creators. I'd say I'm not picky, but that would kinda be a lie, and it isn't all about what I think.

In "your home" AU frisk\chara on genocide route kill everyone? Like, did frisk go back from dunes to upper snowdin and waterfall? Also, did that also mean he fight two final bosses(sans/zen.martlet)?

Frisk went this route: Ruins, Snowdin, Dunes, Waterfall, Hotland, Core, New Home The Steamworks is completely closed, the robots have left this place, and I like to think that there is a shortcut from the Dunes to the Waterfall, maybe it appeared a few years after Clover started living in the Underground and Frisk used it Frisk didn't fight Martlet, she was busy evacuating monsters, but they did fight Sans Dunno, maybe I should make a list of everyone who died during the Genocide in this AU? I could include Clover's timeline when they were a kid as well

i love the different ways you can take like clover and flowey's dynamic

like if you think about it, flowey essentially created the version of clover that remains in the present

the moment they hit the underground, they became some sort of lab project of flowey. like how alphys created the version of flowey (asriel). the difference is that it wasn't alphys' intention other than to test how different organisms handle determination. flowey does it intentionally to reach a goal.

trials to get clover to do what he wants. trials to likely figure out clover's strengths or weaknesses to create a perfect run for them. an endless amount of trials is required with a lab with a high power.

flowey hypothesizes that its possible, or else he wouldn't even bother. only in the end after reaching more dead ends with an altered group of runs does he decided to try his chances with the next human. though he desperately tries to make clover work knowing the inevitable, the next human, frisk, having more determination than him.

this is it. this is the only subject he can test on. the only subject he can manipulate. this is especially revealed in the neutral route where it all is at a dead end. the run disproved his hypothesis and he must try again. he must try again and again until his hypothesis is true. until the run ends in him reaching the souls or a sufficient ending.

until clover does exactly what he wants, what he, essentially, made clover for.

and the poor child doesn't have any clue until its too late. that's why yellow's neutral route ending is so intriguing to me. its the realization that clover is nothing but a vessel for flowey to grow. some sort of experimental being.

an experimental being like him, like flowey.
