Having sat with it for nearly 48 hours, I think it - much like the series as a whole - had some really strong character moments and scenes that worked well, but was lost in overall lack of plot and desire to create shippy content rather than tell a tight and well written story. I don't hate s3 and maybe it'll all come together on rewatch, but it doesn't hold a candle to s1 and s2.

Might be a little bit quiet the next week or two, a family friend died suddenly over the weekend so my energy needs to go into supporting and helping out where I can. I'll still be on had for robron week cohosting duties but otherwise I'm not sure how much I'll be around.

Robron Week 2026 are proud to announce this year's theme: 7 Days, 7 Years.

The prompt is simple: to celebrate 7 full years of robron, we are dedicating a day to each year, from 2014 to 2025. This can be as creative or as uncomplicated as you like, for artists and writers alike.

This is the chance for writers to create AUs set in specific years, or a fix-it to that one scene or story you didn't like the end of. For artists, was 2016 a really good year for hugs? Is there a song suited to 2018 you really want to showcase? Or do you just really want to highlight your favourite scene from a year you don't show enough appreciation for? The sky is the limit, and all of Robron's history is to be celebrated.

Despite being a great incarnation of the character, somehow she is uniquely bad. Despite having many of the same traits as the 'male' Doctors, somehow it is worse when she does it. She's constantly held up to greater scrutiny and one cannot help but see that misogyny plays a huge role here

Dared to be an incarnation of The Doctor who was played by a woman and all the needs and geeks were as normal about that as you'd expect

‘Jodie Whittaker (actor) killed the show’ ‘the Thirteenth Doctor sucks and is bad and new who sucks after her!!’ Etc holy moly. So much bashing of the show because of her and not because the writers just sucked for a while (which honestly is the case for most of the show)

She's literally the exact same character the Doctor has always been- hypocritical self righteous bullshit and all. But for sooooommmmeeee reason it's charming and compelling and adds great depth to the character when it's David Tennant but it's shallow and poorly written and inconsistent when it's Jodie Whittaker

How am i supposed to go on about my day knowing claudia and madeleine are apart? That madeleine accepted death hoping to be reunited with claudia in the afterlife only for claudia to be stuck nowhere bc of her unfinished business, unable to move on. That she has looked everywhere for her and she is surely looking for her lover too, wherever she is. That destiny is so cruel and after having such hard lives and a short time with each other, STILL not even in death can they rest peacefully together.
