Do NOT treat Anastasia like a child if you’re not her friend or not REALLY close (examples: do not pat her head, do not call her a kid, do not give her dolls, do not give her anything related to very childish things). Yes, she’s a little imp and can act childish (but only to her friends and mayhaps fellow royalty / people she trusts), but as a Lostbelt servant and as someone who had to grow up fast as a royalty and due to condition of her country during the century, she had to become more mature. Do NOT treat her like a kid. She hates it. It makes her feel hopeless and downgraded. Take her as a fellow royalty and be respectful.

My portrayal of Anastasia is based on:

1) My own headcanons. Anastasia is not nice to many people. Based on her backstory and on her end, she is quite distant from many people who she doesn’t trust. Basically, she has major trust issues because of the betrayal from soldiers.

2) The history that I learned and re-learn in Russia. I have countless documents on Romanov family saved and need to re-read them. My portrayal will be confusing to you in some sense, because Russian history is quite complicated and there are countless variations of Romanov family’s behavior and death.

3) Canon-divergence: as a Lostbelt servant, Anastasia is not the same as other servants. She also has more vivid memories of Kadoc than the in-game Anastasia. Which means, she will not be all nice and sweet to the Master of Chaldea until very, very late.

My Anastaisa will not be nice to Master of Chaldea for many reasons. Including the fact that they destroyed LB1 and what ending she got along with Kadoc. Mainly, her biggest concern is Kadoc’s well-being even as Protagonist’s servant. This is very important.

Viy is always by her side. She talks to the spirit and the spirit itself is residing as much in her shadows as in her doll. The doll does move sometimes thanks to Viy’s influence. It is very protective of Anastasia and anyone who approaches Anastasia can feel its gaze on them. It can be aggressive, so approach her with caution.

Anastasia can freeze the floor around herself when she’s angry or agitated. The ice magic is the strongest point of her existence. Just like with the game sprite, she creates ice around herself when she fights or protects herself. It means that she might as well freeze the floor around herself to make someone who approaches her fall, freeze to the floor, or slip.
