Trial - Final Decision
“Ehehe...There they are. The seven votes we asked for--”
They’re cut off by a loud banging noise just outside of the trial room, followed by muffled yelling. Someone or something was trying to break open the door to the trial room, but to no avail.
“...Whoops, sorry, can’t let you in now~! We’re not done yet. And who knows what chaos you’ll cause...”
Thadius lifts his head up briefly to give Monobear a doubtful look. They just laugh in reply.
“Anyway, let’s start, shall we?”

Well, this was pretty fast. Not that Iwao has any qualms with that, he didn't know what was going on anyway.
"It's Hare-brain-chan. . . Well, that makes enough sense, I trust Ryuu-kun enough. She also got Yuki-chan to kill someone, so we know she's a real bag of dicks."
Great logic, Iwao. Great, great logic.
"So. . . we just vote and this is over with? Finally. .."
He's quietly kind of nervous about what comes after this, but will keep that worry under wraps for now.

Muwata found nothing during this past investigation. Nothing but memes, that was. It disappointed her, in all truth, as she felt determined to figure this all out. She found some clues pertaining to Vera perhaps lapse of innocence, but, considering she wasn’t of this world and, Aona was acting filthy, her mind quickly raced with angry thoughts as everyone else brought the facts. Mainly Ryuunosuke who was mean to her last trial and since. She still didn’t like him so, as a result, she ignored her initial instinct to congratulate him on a ‘job well done’.
“I do admit. I feel Miss Aona seemed suspicious since Nanashi’s trial. Something seemed 'off’ about her, but I couldn’t put my finger on it. Kind of like how Mister Koma acted the trial prior. I just…wasn’t sure if I should speak out or if it was an utter waste of time. Now I know the truth.
The truth was here, folks. Aona was acting like a crazy lady. When everyone had finished talking, Muwata snapped a finger in her direction. She was livid and also full off too much caffiene. Her voice seemed a bit off key. People, don’t let her drink coffee. It makes her MUCH too hyper. She looked like she was about to bounce out of her podium and lunge. Possibly with a bazooka in hand…
“You hold your tongue, girl! I will bring you down to the VERY seventh circle of hell for bringing my friends to their deaths. It wasn’t their murderers faults, but you. Why, if I had my way, I would send a bazooka plummeting into your skull right now, but I promised Yuu I wouldn’t harm a soul! You better start praying I continue to keep that promise, girl.“
She hissed that final threat and pushes the button for Aona immediately. Well, this was all she could do for now, even if she had questions. But she would ask them later, when her vote wasn’t an important factor here.
With much more intensity, Ryuunosuke votes for Aona as the Mastermind again. Thanks Ryuu, you've already voted, but sure. Go on. Nobody ain't gonna stop you.
Yuuichirou votes for Aona as the mastermind— nothing more, nothing less.

Ryuunosuke might not admit it, but it did feel good to be backed up by someone whom he trusts. He glanced to his companion and managed to smile a little bit, before it went back to annoyance as soon as Aona spoke up.
There it was, indeed.
She didn’t even try to defend herself anymore. No, she more or less just straight up admitted that they were right. She went on about how pesky they all were, how someone paid her to do that...
All in all, nothing too surprising, he guessed.
“Well, the feelings are mutual, because you are one of the most pesky people I’ve ever encountered. Honestly, I don’t even care much about your reasons, I just want to vote you off.”
And just to prove his point - and way too be a petty little boy - he votes for Aona again.

Hopeless. It was ridiculously hopeless.
Of course, Aona was doing her best to restrain herself here... no matter how much she wanted to blow up and punch someone in the face. They had so much against her, arguing just wouldn't get her anywhere... probably.
"You really think I'm a queen...? Awww, that's so cute, eheeeee... because I totally am."
Is... that all she got out of that entire retort? Apparently it was. She stood there for a second, shaking her head, and then looking up glare daggers at everyone individually.
"Sillies! You don't need a lot of money to run a murder game when someone else is employing you to run it! Of course, I'm not being payed in money, though. I'm getting paid in fun times!"

She grinned, laughing to herself, and leaning over her podium.
"To be honest-- you're all so pesky, eugh!! I wouldn't have run this fun party time if I knew you would all be this annoying... actually, maybe I still would have! I don't really knooow... it's already happened, right? Can't change the past! It's too bad you found me, though. I guess memes were my real downfall here! Damn you Pepe..."
She shakes her fist in the air. Damn you Pepe.
"Oh, and... by the way. Those coded journals you found were supposed to spell my name, but y'knoooow! Guess you missed out on that. Git gud, my dudes. ...But guess it's also good cause you didn't know it was me! That would have been too easy."

Yuuichirou was rather quiet, generally being as unhelpful as he had been ever since the dawn of the second trial. Still, he did, at the very least, seem to continue being a listening participant. He had had every intention to not help anyone, but he supposed if stakes were going to be placed here, he might as well offer a little pity and chip in. He was sure some people really did want to escape to make up for the lack of desire he had.
He could rot away in here for all he cared.
Seeing the herbalist try so hard though, opening the trial with a huge explanation, and then continue to be rather lengthy on it seemed to only make the male want to offer a bit more pity. It was the display of effort and all the time that built up to this (as well as the fact that their crew of four had downsized to two— it was... probably best to not withdraw too much and make the other feel like a lone soldier on this battlefield) that pushed the electric guitarist to talk at all.
"Your brand... If I was going to fund a project like this, it'd be more strategical to use cheaper products that aren't with a special name. Your family's products aren't a monopoly. This project in itself must have cost a lot already, considering the mechanics of using robotics and such. The only reason to fill the place with them... is because you had easy access to them."
He held less conviction to his voice than prior as if he were just very tired. Overall, his unkempt appearance suggested so, his tie not even properly tied, his jackets nowhere to be seen, his gloves still poking out of his pocket, and his hair not combed down or anything. Even his glasses seemed smudgy even from another's perspective.
"If you want to know the list of chairs, there were nine... Folded paper, oriental stool, unicycle, tea mat ceremony, fancy and elegant, bookshelf-incorporated, park bench, ripped out of a roller coaster, Kitty-chan... The tenth chair was hidden to the naked eye. We... had to use the eye glass thing. In a random gap at the end of the table was the last chair... the queen's chair that Mizushima-kun was talking about."

At first, Aona wasn’t even trying to defend herself. All she did was stating the obvious and in his eyes, it just showed that he had proven such a good case that there was nothing to be said anymore.
Kazuki contributed as well, saying that it wouldn’t make sense for the mastermind to kill for a motive here. That was true, because why would they if they knew what was coming? Not to mention that they probably wouldn’t be even affected by some of them, like murdering their loved ones?
He nods at the escapologist and responds:”Precisely. You even solified the accusiation against Aona with mentioning the killing itself. I doubt that she will actually have much to defend herself against.”
Next up was Yuu who said that all the cranes had rare pepes in it. Oh. He thought that only applied to one…
“Is that so? Well, that doesn’t really change the outcome in the end, but that’s good to know. And… excuse me, you found pizza? With beef? Uh… quite honestly, I do not know what to make out of that.”
It’s not like as if he is a true meme guy.
More votes poured in for Aona and the girl was ready to defend herself at last - though in his eyes, these were rather flimsy ones. With a sigh, he holds up one finger.
“That might be true, but it’s not like as if the bunny clue is such an important one to expose you for the ugly person you are. Even if Tsukino is wearing a bunny shirt right now, they’re not even a suspect. Remember, the ‘A clue’? It only fits you and Anemori, so there goes your first defense.”
Another finger rose up - if you wouldn’t know the context, you might as well think that he’s doing a peace sign.
“Second, it’s not about whether someone likes memes or not - your file was the only one filled with them and we just so happen to suddenly stumble upon a ton of them.”
Three fingers.
“Do you really think I’ll believe you if you say that you didn’t know about the training equipment? You’ve already shown us splendidly that you love to lie, so really, there is nothing to believe in.”
Harsh words, but he was pretty much fed up. Jesus, acquire some chill, Ryuunosuke!
“As you can see, I’ve demented your defenses ridiculously easy - and I just remembered another clue that will cement this whole ordeal even more.
Even though most of you haven‘t seen the room that’s in the middle of the labyrinth, Nagai-san and me did. We found out that it was used to monitor us - there were screens everywhere, showing the whole cave. Though that’s not the interesting part - there was a table and different chairs. Each chair was unique and there were as many chairs as there were dead students - not to mention that their designs hinted at their talents.
Among those was also a chair that looked like folded papers. Though that chair is only interesting in context with another one… or should I be more precise and say throne? At the end of the table, there was a really fancy throne, fitting for a queen. Which tells us that the mastermind must be female-representative… and as we found Anemori’s chair among those who are dead, it only leads to one conclusion, yes?”
Either way Yuu locks in a vote for Aona as the Mastermind. The Memestermind.

Well. This didn’t seem to be looking good for Aona. At this rate… they’d convict her of being the mastermind! And that wouldn’t be good, now would it?
With a serious face, she nods her head thoughtfully at everything said by everyone before speaking again.
“Well! Okay. First of all– I’m not the only one here who likes bunnies, just for the record. That guy’s wearing a bunny shirt!”
She points to Yuu. There it is!!!
“This place is, like, a bunny lover club™! Second, they were all rare pepes on the cranes, aaaaaaand I don’t know how to fold origami!! How could I plant them? How the heck… also, like, who doesn’t like memes? I can’t be the only meme fan here, my dudes. In fact, that Saxophone girl even said that pepe was her god at one point! And third of… all… I didn’t even know my family brand stuff was here, it’s a super popular brand, you know?”
Hmmmmmmmm. She then does an akanbe, just like she did during the second trial. Does she ever learn.
“But I guess if you wanna convict me, go ahead. Live your life. Do whatever. But are you really sure? Are you really, really, really… really…. really…. really sure? Really? Reeeeeeeeeaaaaaaally?”
Iwao nods quietly to himself before trusting Ryuunosuke's Tony Hawk Pro Logic and voting for Aona.

Were they accusing someone being of memes? And there was another class just like theirs? Yuu quite didn’t understand most of what Ryuunosuke had just said but he seemed smart enough. Who would’ve thought a rare pepe would’ve become a valuable piece of information? Yuu sure didn’t.
They turned to Aona with a frown on their face. Yuu was actually starting to warm up to her again, and now she was being accused of being the mastermind of this whole thing? Yikes…
“Also.. I’m pretty sure all the paper cranes had rare pepes in them… Like all of them. There was a pizza with nothing on it except beef to the left? Is that a meme as well?”
