Day 4 : Soulmate AU

bc whats more fun than a soul bond that forces the deceased to watch their loves life crumble while being unable to do anything ^^

Dmm i wanna just ramble about this a bit (feel free to just skip it lmao)

I wanted the top half to be like a mockery of weddings:

bells marked with symbols of death&heartbreak (originally was going to be rusted), decaying leaves, black roses (= death, mourning, and the End of something), the ribbons were meant to be in tatters but never finished it lmao.

Kinda symbolic of the failed relationship or smth, my plans were made late at night so idk what i was rlly thinking.

also thought it’s be fun if all the warmth & light/colour was centered around Kishiar who’s dead. y’know like Yuder is more dead and cold then the literal ghost or smth.

also the soul thread(?) connection thing comes from Kishiars heart but is wrapped around Yuder's throat - like their connection is sentencing Yuder to death in a way? idk im trying to make sense of late night ramblings and sketches haha

Here it finally is: Cupid Yuder AU

This one is probably the longest running continuous drawings I am doing currently. It persists of sketches that form something like a story. It leans more into comedy and to make things funny in Turning without the help of Kiolle I need to go kinda OOC. Sue me.

It is still in progress unless I say so. Without further ado,

Kishiar was a monumental figure to Yuder—Yudrein so much that when he felt negative emotions through the connection, it was like being pressured and overwhelmed by a tremendous force

But after Kishiar was gone

It was as if Yudrein had lost everything in his life

He had never felt complete again

Kishiar’s private space at the arcane legion building was the most obvious evidence.

After Yudrein became a new commander—perhaps bc of his personality, but was it truly only this reason for him to feel useless to have a big space for himself? Was that the reason for him to cut Kishiar’s space and change it to public facilities?

Had Yudrein ever felt lonely living alone in ‘their’ place?

Too alone, and couldn’t bare to live in such a big place to feel more lonely.

He wanted only a cocoon— only the bedroom was enough.

So that he could curl himself in the bed that they once used together.

Clinging to the drag path that had already disappeared bc of time passed.

Not knowing why he had been doing it.

Never knew he, himself—missing his lost, already gone soulmate all the time

To Yudrein who had lived alone all the time, Kishiar la Orr was the first and only person whom he entangled with. In the unknown coldness, he found peace from this person, although this person was one of the coldnesses that affected him.

But still, he’s the only warmth Yudrein once gained in that lifetime.

He was Yudrein’s lifeline.

Though Yudrein Ail was never known.
