Did y’all ever make a decision that makes you happy and nothing else matters in the world? Is it wrong to put yourself and happiness before anyone else’s? So many questions, so little answers to it.

Taking it from someone my age and the things I’ve been through, putting yourself and your happiness first is always the most important. Life is way too short to not do the things that make you happy.

If I could eat whatever I wanted every day, I would have Domino’s pizza with pasta carbonara inside every slice. And at night, I would have Neapolitan ice cream until I felt absolutely toxic. And then I would drift off telling myself, ‘It’s going to be O.K… It’s going to be O.K. you’re going to train in the morning.

Hi, baby boy.

I miss you. I miss you so much. They say that time heals all wounds, but I don’t think that phrase applies when you’ve lost a child. I’m still working endlessly on finding a cure. It’s difficult and tiresome, but if I can save one parent from having to feel the pain that I do, it will all be worth it. 

I met someone. I think you’d like her. She’s excellent at cooking and baking. She made your favorite pie without realizing and it was fantastic. You would have loved it. She has a big family and some kids of her own. They’re mostly grown now, though. I suppose that her youngest would be the same age you would have been now. Ha, maybe you two would have hit it off even. She’s beautiful, smart, funny, and kind. She has a huge heart and a fiery spirit. 

I haven’t really asked her to become anything more serious. I know, I know. You’re dad is a coward. I’m always so busy, though. Surely, she deserves someone better. Yeah, I know, you’re shaking your head at me right now. I can feel it. 

I miss you. Every day I miss you. I love you so much and I’ll see you again someday.

I am extremely happy that I told my new work place that I would need a week to get settled before I started. This weather is not helping my want or need to unpack any of my possessions like pant suits.
