On stories in progress
Hello.
I’ve always been drawn to stories while they’re still becoming themselves. The drafts that feel almost-right. the scenes that hold a lot of feeling but aren’t sure how to say it yet.
i read slowly. i notice small things—when a line lands, when a moment lingers, when something important slips by unnoticed. sometimes all a story needs is someone outside the author’s head to sit with it for a while.
I’m here because i like listening to writers talk about their work in progress. the excitement, the doubt, the quiet frustration of knowing what you want a story to be but not quite reaching it yet.
I believe feedback should feel like care, not judgment. pointing out what’s already working. gently naming what might be unclear. asking questions that help the story open up instead of shutting it down.
if you’re a writer, you’re welcome to talk about your WIP here, whether it’s polished, unfinished, or still finding its shape. I tend to read. sometimes i respond. always with intention.
