Wanted my Sims to have some floating furniture around the house like the Casters Alley buildings have, so I converted some of them to be decorative objects! Not sure if the GIF attached is working, if not, I also shared the GIF on Twitter.
This was originally just for personal gameplay, so I didn’t make additional swatches or anything. Note that these objects are purely decorative and do not function.

hi! i was just wondering how you got townies/random sims to visit your lot so they could "adopt" the pets in tasc?
hey! your sim(s) could be friends with them and they come over that way, or if they come over randomly. They can also be summoned, but not excessively, so you get tons of adoptions in one day/week. if you have an advertised adoption, they could be mass adopted like irl when dogs are brought to local pet stores or animal shelter events to attract possible adoptees.
Hello! So your adoption center challenge seems like a lot of fun but I️ have a question. So basically how does the adoption process work in-game, do townies actually adopt the pets?? I️ haven’t explored too much with the expansion yet
Hi! You can go full fledged and have your sims pose with a story, or just use the gameplay interactions. Townies will not actually come and take your pet, unlike Sims 2 if you sold the animal. I just choose a pet the townie seems to “like” the most (they interact with that special one more than the others) and head over to manage household and move the pet in. If you choose to have others download your pet, I would encourage it being a single person download rather than a mass download. If you want to amp realism, you can make sure that the adopter posts about the pet and make sure it’s being taken care of, or you could issue a warning before bringing the pet back into the shelter to be re-adopted. Some townies adopt my pets from the actual pet adoption services in game. As for weekly prompts, animal abuse is highly controversial, so I don’t want to see extreme neglect in stories! I’d prefer lighthearted storylines where a pet was brought in due to it’s owner passing or even as low as not being able to care for the pet after finding out it wasn’t the “perfect” match. Go nuts; this is all about fun with the new expansion!

Setting Up:
Sims
Your first Sim will be the Adoption Center’s owner. He/She must be at least a young adult, but can have any combination of traits that you want.
You are allowed to have as many other Sims as you wish when you start out. These Sims can be family members or roommates that can help out at the Adoption Center. These extra Sims can be of any age and have any traits that you want.
The Lot
You are allowed to start out on any sized empty lot. 40x30 is recommended for a smaller facility with the necessary amenities; there are no restrictions on size or how lavish you want your facility to be, just let it be originally created by you!
The Family Home
Your home must be a separate building. This means that it can be attached to your Adoption Center as an apartment or as staff housing. You have complete freedom as to how your house is built, it just has to satisfy your Sims needs.
Adoption Facility
One of these must be attached to each of your animal boards. This is where (imaginary or townies) guests come to view the animals up for adoption, and perhaps adopt one (add the designated pet they play with the most to their family via manage household). Attach any rooms to this area that are related to personal care for that animal (ie., washroom to bathe dogs). Each animal board room must be view-able from this room.
Animal Board
This is where animals are housed that are/will be up for adoption.
One animal will be assigned to one boarding room, which requires 1 bowl, 1 toy, and 1 pet bed/cat tree. Each room must have an indoor and outdoor section. It is recommended to have one large outdoor/indoor section where all of the animals in that board can play and socialize with one another.
In the case of a pregnant animal, the mother will get her own room which is much larger than the standard. This is so she has enough room to care for her babies. Animals that are not pregnant should not be boarded here. You start out with 1 of these rooms at the start of the challenge.
The animals rooms must have a door leading outside to a fenced area, this door can stay unlocked. There must be another door leading into the animals room for you to enter. This door HAS to be locked and only accessible to you.
Rules
Base Challenge
You must start out with an empty lot and build with the funds you have, but you can roll under to get some extra cash towards building your Adoption Center.
You cannot move into a prebuilt lot at the start.
No cheats that affect your motives, relationships or income (including MC Command Center, but it is ok to be installed for other purposes)
You must add animals to your facility by befriending strays yourself. (You can edit them and make them more “adorable”, a little sprucing up never hurts!)
Your primary income is adoption fees. Fees will get more expensive relative to how many positive traits are learned while at the facility, along with many other factors (see Adoption Fee Calculator) that can affect the price both negatively and positively. Call in for the adoption on your phone (or allow another simmer to adopt them into their game through the gallery/tray files!) so the animal can be picked up by the new owner. Once the animal leaves the household, use the Money cheat to add the fee to your household funds after you have calculated the price and the adopter has “paid” said fee.
Animals must stay at the facility for a minimum of 3 days before they can be put up for adoption. If an animal was born in the facility, you must still wait the 3 days. Keeping them for a longer period of time to train them for good traits and/or skills is recommended in order to get better income.
When you go to put an animal up for adoption, all of their needs must be fulfilled as best as possible as well as their mood.
Upon entering the facility, every animal must be washed and groomed (to simulate deworming, flea baths, taken to the vet if no vet practices are in your facility, and they must be spayed/neutered).
Sims & Pets
The Adoption Center owner and employees cannot have a job. Tending to the animals and putting them up for adoption is his/her job. You are allowed profitable hobbies (painting, writing, gardening, etc.).
If you have a family pet with the hunting skill, it’s up to you if you want to sell what he/she finds. If you want more of a challenge, do not sell the items. You cannot sell items found by animals in board.
Animals are not allowed to breed with one another while in the facility.
If you get your animals taken away, you have lost the game.
No animals are allowed in living area of Sims, if a cat rides a vacuum into any area it is not supposed to, quickly take it back to it’s designated area.
No Sim can own a vet clinic, but you can take care of the animals if your sim has studied up to level 5 Veterinarian Skill.
To adopt another animal, you must teach your animal three commands: Fetch, Heel, and Sit.
You CANNOT use the control pets mod!!!
Storytelling
Pick a prompt at the start of each week.
Examples:
What luck! A generous fellow decided to donate to our cause! Add $2,000 to the household funds. (Please don’t abuse this!)
Looks like we’ve been having some crazy weather over the past few days! Sims cannot visit your Adoption Center 3 days out of the week due to the weather. None of your Sims can leave the home lot, and no animals can be adopted during those 3 days. Since there isn’t a Seasons EP yet, you’ll have to use your imagination (ie., tornado warning).
Looks like the food we ordered for the week was tainted, now all of the animals have are ill. You’ll have make homemade pet food and pay $300 in anti-diarrhea medications this week (wellness treats for everyone!).
