so uh... i guess i should properly introduce myself now?? you all know me as jenkins, which is . . . right. but you can also call me Astrea! Some of you guys might know that name from a few of the forums in the fun corners of the internet and surprise!!! Yes I am that Astrea. The super cool hacker one. Sorry guys! I guess I’ve upgraded from internet sleuth to spider hero!

Some quick questions that I’ve seen asked quiet a bit ( Sorry I haven’t answered any of you poor reporters, Spiderman isn’t a fan. Good thing he doesn’t know about tumblr. He’s too old to find me on here anyways. )

I don’t care what pronouns you use for me. Some people have tried to guess from my voice, so props to you for trying to make something out of that electronic mess. 

No I’m not telling you my name or age. Do any of you have parents? Who taught you internet safety?? It’s just Jenkins. That’s my answer to any personal question.

WOAH this is embarrassing! So sorry to my sweet loyal fan I did not see this ask for 97 days!

But the answer isn’t that exciting anyways…

I’ve mentioned this before but New Yorke is pretty normal right now. Honestly I think calling myself a spiderhero is a bit glorified… I mean really I just stop punks, and even most of them are a bit scared of me and Mrs Vigilante now.

I mean if this was a book or something maybe my dad?? But only because he has to find the person that stole the suit and .. surprise! I stole the suit.

Though, things have been getting a lot stranger around here lately,, I don’t want to jump to conclusions but there’s been a huge factory that’s been under fire lately. Like. Literally on fire. People keep vandalizing it from the inside, huge explosions and stuff. Peter has been looking into it though, and since he’s the only one with spider sense, I have to trust his gut.

Things are still so mundane here, I have half a mind to turn the suit in and let Claire deal with the low level thugs.

things have been really calm recently, so claire is taking the holidays off to go see some family in Jersy

I know I shouldn’t be, but honestly I’m super jealous. Her family doesn’t know anything about Mrs. Vigilante, they just know that she’s really enjoying this semester of college.

Meanwhile I’m stuck with my father being forced to hunt me down as I struggle to finish these classes, all with a pain in my neck that won’t go away because I sleep from couch to couch.

I’m just really bummed I’m not going to be able to do anything for Christmas with my dad. They’re starting to get agitated that he hasn’t found anything pertaining the missing weapons shipment, and he’s afraid it’s too risky to try and meet up. At least sometimes I get to text him..

Anyways, it’ll be me and Peter holding down the fort until Claire comes back after New Years, but honestly that’s not even that bad— like I said, New Yorke has really mellowed out. No more super villains or schemeing. Just dirtbag humans.

leg update!!! no longer stuck in the bodega this spider is out of here!

meaning i can finally start doing patrols again.

honestly things have been pretty mundane here. peter was a pretty good hero in his prime time so New Yorke has been pretty calm! really the only things me and claire deal with are regular human beings. which honestly is bad enough right now… exam season is coming up.

honestly sometimes i feel like i’m in some kind of slice-of-life superhero story. everything’s pretty mundane :::}

ah yes, thanksgiving :::T

claire found me on patrol and is now acting like my mother as i’m on bodega arrest.

we’re not even closed today!! which is like— the only good thing about thanksgiving! well, that and an excuse to have family over.

normally me and my dad would fix way too much food for ourselves and pig out on the sofa as we watch the Macee’s Afternoon Parade, but dad can only sneak in one truce and I think he’s saving it for my birthday :::}

NEVERMIND GOOD NEWS. CLAIRE TATTLED ON ME TO PETER AND NOW HES COMING OVER TO MAKE SURE I DONT TRY TO GO PLAY HERO AGAIN!!

claire should be done with her patrol in an hour which means it’ll be the three of us at the bodega ( not many people have been coming in thankfully ). sooooo if i can persuade peter we can scrounge up some food to fix for when she comes :::}

it won’t be anything fancy but it’ll be better than college food court food! im just hoping she’ll be back in time for the parade. then we can all watch it together

well, claire forgot to mention that she’s going to her aunts for thanksgiving :::{ she’s on her way right out of patrol. i didn’t tell her about my little bodega feast, i didn’t wanna make her feel bad. it’s rightful that she be with her real family today.

at least peter is still with me. . . he’s trying his best to cheer me up and i appreciate it. except these hot dogs are super gross. i think peter is gonna run and get takeout real quick

I guess it’s just because everyone here is kinda … like me??? I mean we’re all spiderlings sure but I’m just a normal kid. I don’t have fancy powers or anything. Hell I’m currently stuck being a cashier at a bodega because my leg is in a brace!

But super hero’s don’t always get the happy ending I guess. And it’s nice to know that others find all this stuff hard too.
