The everlasting Power of Constructs
We, as a nation, spend more time, money and energy fighting; either to sustain constructs or to de-construct them.
If you think/belive in sexism, racism, gender as real fixtures of definitive aspects of American culture-you are part of those seeking to sustain those constructs.
Race is neither a biological trait, physical, genetic nor inherited trait. Rather was/is the fabrication of colonizers to deem indigenous and enslaved people as inferior. Supported by debunked science, bastardation of Christian Bible verses, laws, Jim Crow and institutions to deem one ‘race’ inferior to another; therefore unworthy or deserving of human or civil rights.
Likewise, sexism-to deem one sex inheritly inferior, incapable, than another and used as justification to supress-is constructed not on science but on social standing, interpretation of Christian Bible verses, ideals of “head of household”, hunter vs gatherer, laws governing women’s bodies (while men may do as they wish theirs), pay inequality ect.
Always found it interesting the sex that can procreate and birth life is somehow less than in contrast to the insignificant contributions of the other sex. Fun fact: pre-colonized nations of Africa were matriarchs; the royal bloodline was traced through the Queen not the king-until… well you know.
Gender is a social construct created by culture to dictate how each sex is to operate within its society. male, female and hermaphrodites are sexes. Gender is not. We assimilate and expect “boys” to be tough, not cry love blue and wage earners; while “girls are to be fragile, pink-loving, boy-dependant,” princesses waiting for prince-charming to rescue them.
Do you think enslaved Africans asked to called nigger or black? Do you think women asked to be characterized as “sensitive”, “emotional” and “weak”? Do you think women asked to be confined to skirts/dresses while men wore pants?
Absolutely not! Yet 2016 battled to sustain or deconstruct those ideals.“ Blacks (men in particularly) are more prone to violence and they are responsible for their murder at the hands of law enforcement.
Does a female candidate “have the stamina” to be president. Overly scrutinized on her health condition while her male opponent is significantly older. Numerous references to the female candidate being a “grandmother” while no mention of the male candidates’ grandchildren.
PC (Politic Correctness) was not created for white men to learn not use derogatory, offensive, insulting language to refer to others. It was never a censor of free speech. It was/is an attempt of the margalinized to inform and dictate how they self-identify. You don’t know what to say because the vocabulary and vernacular you created was devoid of those whom you attempted to label.
If that mere attempt of others to reclaim their name, their place and self-identification is cumbersome and censoring to you, then you have missed the point. And when you welcome “political incorrectness’ that is coded language to say,” I want to dictate to you what I think is appropriate.“
Equality is a novel concept, one United States has yet to fully embrace. As long as people are fighting for civil, human rights, governance of their own bodies, fighting for the freedom to express themselves as they are (and not as others tell them to be), demanding to receive equal pay for equal work… There is no equality.
The only thing we have succeeded is creating another false construct of equal rights for all usually preached and heralded from the oppressors to the oppressed.
Hint: if you belong or benefit from these constructs, it is not your place to say and decide when we are in a post-anything.
As long as my brothers and sisters are not free, none of us are free.

One goes by many names; El Diablo, Louis Cypher, Papa Legba, Logarou... manifestations far exceeding the constructs of mankind.

Drive-by kill one, wound another-you're a coward and I'm a snitch? Mothers' weep, sisters' mourn, children fatherless. Living survive.. guilt ridden; yet guilty hidden-you're a coward and I'm a snitch! 'Gangsta', 'thug', self-assigned labels. You run from, not to... You're a coward. Run, drive, hide, lie from shattered lives, shards littering hearts of living; never know reason, peace, closure. You're a coward. I stand over, no more. I shine light into the darkness of your hollow hiding soul. Name the nameless, chase the coward running, driving, hiding. Be present among the shards because I'm a snitch. And I Overstand. The Misunderstanding and Miseducation of America
We are a flawed society engulfed in our own self-righteousness and idealism of superiority of the "greatest country". When the truth is more sinister, dark and embarrassing. The richest nation with 99% either poor, hungry, unemployed, underemployed, dwindling middle-class, poor school system, expensive higher education, lack of job opportunities, job security, stability, racism, sexism, homophobia in an institutionalized systemic social hierarchy benefitting a few with a narrow world view. We could be great. We could be better. We could solve or fix our ailments but first we have to stop saying and acting as though we're not sick. You can't get better if you don't know your sick and you need to take care of yourself. To deny our ills is allow it to fester, manifest and explode to a point of a pandemic. When that happens we then blame the symptoms, not the cause. So let's not kid ourselves America. Traditional marriage hasn't been traditional since its inception when women were property, polygamy was the norm, concubines was a staple and the data consistently shows 50% still end in divorce. Racism never ceased and a post-racial society could only exist without people of color residing in the society. A country who fought against tyranny and valued freedom enslaved countless for purely economical gain and superiority on the world stage. Science was bastardized to support the inferiority of people of color, laws created in compromise to discount the humanity of others. With such a ingrained history, how can we claim a post-racial period? Women have always been 2nd class citizens. Denied rights to property, to vote, to be heard and rights over their own bodies. And still today elected white men debate what a woman can or cannot do with her own body. Elected white men debate on the merits of a survivor's account of assault usually at the hand of man. Elected white men have yet to value the equality of work women do. But we chastise and frown upon other countries and cultures on their treatment of women. Human rights is not a civil issue. The LGBTQ community are human beings and as such are endowed with the same inalienable rights the rich forefathers of the country sought for themselves free of religious persecution. Yet strangely enough that religious persecution is being allowed to deny the freedom so cherish in our American folklore. The poor are criminalized for being poor. As though, anyone would choose to be poor, labeled as a leper of society disgusted to gaze upon and blamed for their affliction. And asking or seeking help for sustenance is equated with a handout and a entitlement mentality. Since when having enough food, clothing, shelter and bare necessities became entitlements guaranteed to only a select few? If we wanted to do better, we could. If the folklore we celebrate, the freedom, prosperity, inalienable rights for all we truly cherished were really the bedrock of Americanism, we would do better. So America, take your temperature. See you have a fever. Decide before we prescribe cures for 2nd and 3rd world nations, we take our own medicine and physician heal thyself.
“If our society really wanted to solve the problem, we could; it’s just that it would require everybody saying, ‘this is important; this is significant.’ And, that we don’t just pay attention to these communities when a CVS burns, and we don’t just pay attention when a young man gets shot or has his spine snapped, but we’re paying attention all the time because we consider those kids our kids.” —President Obama on the situation in Baltimore
"We Need to Deport 'all' good Those Illegal Immigrants"
HR-1774 Deportation Bill:
All person(s) unable to prove, document or trace their lineage to pre-colonized forceful and unlawful occupation of North American territories, hereto referred as United States shall be deemed “illegal immigrants” . @ As such will be afforded no rights under the Constitution and shall by order of law be captured and detained until their place of origin can be determined therein all person(s) shall be deported forthwith.
The measure is now on the floor for passage and so moved and second.
All those in favor….
