TORD GHOST 1.0 RELEASE!

Guess what! For the 2026 Ghost Jam, me and a couple of friends decided to make a Tord Eddsworld Ghost for your computer! If you like Tord, You'll probably like having this guy around. He's as close to canon as we could make him, and while he's pretty bare bones in functionality right now, He will be updated in the future with more :]

Currently, he has:

Animated sprites (because Noodle is insane)

The wait is over (we know it was supposed to be out in January, please don’t mention it, it's a sensitive topic).

This issue is over 130 pages of fan culture rambling, over double the size of our sample issue. For some reason, we thought it wouldn’t take much longer to put together. We live and we learn.

You really liked the fan/fun pages in the sample issue, so we made sure to include a lot of them in this one. There are crosswords, word searches, a word hunt (let us know if you find the secret message…), fill-in-the-blank but make it fandom, blackout poetry, and even a quiz. 

FUTURE PRINT COPIES

Earlier this year, we published a print interest check to see how many of you would be interested in a print copy of FANMADE – the response was overwhelmingly positive. But there are many hoops to jump through for physical copies, especially regarding shipping (we’re based in the UK, and many of you are in the US). We’re working on it and hope to do a print run of our second issue.

If you haven’t filled out the print interest check survey yet, you can find it here. 

In the meantime, enjoy the digital version of this one. If you want, you can also print FANMADE at home and put together a DIY version (stay tuned for the printer-friendly file; we’ll post it soon). If you make multiple copies, you’re welcome to distribute them in coffee shops or libraries, or share them with friends – just make sure to let us know, mostly so we can geek out about it!

As most things in fandom, this issue is a labour of love. We hope you enjoy reading it as much as we enjoyed making it.

No actually. I'm sorry, but it's just how things are supposed to work. Yeah, either you have 20-20 vision or you're blind. No, there isn't anything else. Yeah, people actually only wear glasses to try to look hipster or whatever. Nobody actually wears contacts because I'd be able to tell if they were wearing contacts. You can always tell when someone's pretending to be blind when they can see, or vice versa. It's something about the face. No, really! Okay, let's pretend that people aren't just wearing glasses for attention; those things are so expirimental! They can't be safe, how could a blind person know how to act like a seeing person!? Don't even get me started on those people who wear glasses and have guide-dogs, 'legally blind' my ass. They really need to stop making up terms for something that goes against biology! You can't change the situation you were born with!

i'm gonna come up with a new social media platform that's vent-friendly and basically you can keep dumping your thoughts in the same thread and spiral as much as you want but the text gets smaller and tinier with each additional post so if people really want to read your rambling then they have to keep zooming in and squinting & also maybe they read it in an increasingly tiny little voice. in their head

guys, in regards to reading comprehension, if it's something you struggle with — read the whole thing. If it's something you don't struggle with, yes you do — read the whole thing.

don't respond or comment or whatever before you have read the whole thing.

The number of times I've gotten responses from people who clearly didn't read beyond the first few sentences of what I wrote is genuinely staggering. Think about it: if you don't have time to read someone else's thoughts, why should anyone take time to read yours? Communication is a two-way street.

Take your time reading. It's okay if you have to take time. You don't need to be 100% ready with a response right away, ever, in real life convos or online. You are allowed to take the time you need to absorb information and develop a response. Anyone who says otherwise is an asshole.

If you have a physical copy of something, highlighting or underlining is extremely helpful. There's even studies that show that you take in more information if you're holding a pen in your hand, as if to take notes. Also, TAKE NOTES! It's fun and extremely helpful.

If you don't have a physical copy, try highlighting with your mouse or your keyboard as you read. It makes you slow down and absorb what you're reading. Highlight a sentence at a time, and move forward sentence to sentence. There are even programs that allow you to do this with any running text. It's usually called focus mode.

I am participating in artfight this year, but I didn't bother making any formal post about it because of continuing artblock struggles and everything happening at once through the beginning of this month. @__@;;;
