Reading the little prince as a neurodivergent person is fucking beautiful. I want so badly to write an essay on this wonderful book, but I just don’t have the time… so for now I’ll just speak about it in this post.

TW FOR SUICIDE 

SPOILERS FOR THE LITTLE PRINCE

Throughout the book I couldn’t help but see the little prince as a neurodivergent person, or at the very least somebody who isn’t ‘normal’ (also all politicians should read this book btw) 

After the little prince talks about landing on earth and him walking through the desert in the year that leads up to him meeting the pilot, I couldn’t help but start seeing the story from the perspective of a neurodivergent kid like myself who was suicidal.

The little prince is considered childish a trait many neurodivergent people are called. The Little Prince also has a different way of looking at the world and seems much more literal than the pilot.

The Little Prince also seemed like he had just a lot of difficulty understanding why adult do the things they do (like me and many others do cus frankly some of the systems in the world are so dumb) and to be honest in the end, it seems like the prince had become tired of the world. 

He didn’t want to hurt the pilot by leaving, but he didn’t want to stay. It felt like the prince was performing kind of passive suicide attempts. And eventually the little prince succeeded in killing himself. The pilot never found his body because he drifted away quietly without alerting anybody…

Maybe it’s just my interpretation, but I honestly could talk about this book for hours… idk expect maybe some LP art soon :)

I ADORE this as a Neurodivergent guy. It is how I feel all the time when I read that book... I just love it so much and I relate so much to both of them ! As a kid, seeing and vewing the world the same... And now, as an adult seeing things like the Aviator...

Let's start with me thanking the support on these two posts: Nancy having a crush on Summer Summer being ignored by fans led to a stigma around the show of it being "nihilistic" It means so much that, randomly, the Nancy post got popular again. And it also means a lot that you guys were commenting and reblogging about how you agree with the idea that Morty was never being nihilistic, but the opposite, as well as agreeing with the idea that if Summer wasn't ignored by these fans, the show would've never been labeled as being "intellectual" and "nihilistic" And...here's the big announcement too. My good friend @lainakeia and I came together to make a server! With the help of others like @gunnmorty and @reallyafag as well, we decided to make a server for big fans to talk about characterization AND the show. It's fitting since I'm the number 1 Summer fan while lainakeia is the number 1 Morty fan :3 Here's the invite link!
