the thing about late season sam is that he can’t be a person because it’s JACK’S turn to gain narrative currency through dean. sam was isaac and then he was abel but he aged out and got too normal and didn’t stay fucked up enough so he had to be downgraded to just some guy while jack was the perfect size for a recast isaac and dean was finally ready to take a real crack at abraham. sorry sam there’s not enough room in this biblical parallel for you better luck next time
