one of my favorite David Lynch Things outside of his movies themselves is the card that came with the DVD release of Mulholland Dr that gives “clues to unlocking this thriller” that are so unhelpful that i’m convinced he was just fucking with people who always asked him what his films meant. A+ bit
The person I reblogged this from deserves to be happy
I tried to scroll past this. I really did
So I just saw a post by a random personal blog that said “don’t follow me if we never even had a conversation before” and?????? Not to be rude but literally what the fuck??????????
I’ve had people (non-pornbots) try to strike conversation out of nowhere in my DMs recently, and now I’m wondering if they were doing that because they wanted to follow me and thought they needed to interact first. I feel compelled to say, just in case, that it’s totally okay to follow this blog (or my side blog, for that matter) even if we’ve never talked before.
Also, I’m legit confused. Is this how follow culture works right now? It was worded like it’s common sense but is that really a thing?
Saw a sharp increase in my follower count after posting this. The legitimacy of it is driving me nuts so I also feel the need to say that you can follow anyone on here regardless of whether you’ve interacted with them or not. People like the above mentioned blog are exceptions. Perhaps they themselves think they aren’t and therefore will act like they aren’t, but they are, trust me.
Just follow anyone you wanna follow. The worst thing that can happen is maybe getting soft-blocked by the other person, but if they do soft-block you, then they were never that worth following in the first place.
wow. really hope this isn't actually a norm taking hold with new users! this isn't facebook, you don't need to know people before following them
this is the '10 year mutuals you've never spoken to once' site
there's no greater betrayal than finally starting to read a book you've had sitting for months on your shelf or your desk or your nightstand and then finding out it's bad. like. i gave you a fucking home.
“You should be at the club.” No, I should be at the scholastic book fair.
Libraries, dude
Libraries are the BEST. You're telling me I can borrow this book for FREE and I can use the computers for FREE??? You're telling me this whole space HAS TO BE QUIET??? This place is somewhere you can go FOR FREE???

Reading update:
I finished Ghost Radio and rated it 2/5. I just thought the pacing was a little slow and it wasn’t really what I was expecting.
I’m currently reading Bachelorette number 13, The Titanic Survivors Book Club, and Welcome to Nightvale.
I also started That Time I Got Drunk and Yeeted A Love Potion at a Warewolf since my hold come In on Libby.
I’m going on a car trip tomorrow and then I’m flying on Saturday so I’m hoping to get a lot more reading done.
Good books can make you homesick for places you have never been.
Reading accountability
So I have a major book problem, in buying and in checking out books from the library. My TBR is currently 1,319 and that’s not including physical books that I own or my library book. So before I get anything else I need to finish:
1. Ghost radio - Leopoldo Gout
2. Bachelorette number 12 - Jae
3. Welcome to Nightvale - Joseph Fink & Jeffrey Cranor
4. Things Have Gotten Worse since We Last Spoke - Eric LaRocca
5. In Nightfall - Suzanne Young
6. Kiss Her once For Me - Alice Cochrun
7. When We Were Magic - Sarah Gailey
8. No String Attached - Harper Bliss
9. Is It Hot In Here ( Or Am I Suffering For All Eternity for the Sins I Committed on Earth) - Zach Zimmerman
10. Music From Another World - Robin Talley
11. The Luis Ortega Survival Club - Sonora Reyes
12. Hellsans - Ever Dundas
13. Dead Girls Walking - Sami Ellis
14. In the Long Run - Haley Cass
15. On the Same Page - Haley Cass
16. Reverie - Ryan LaSala
17. Kiss & Tell - Adib Khorram
18. More Happy Than Not - Adam Silvera
19. The Titanic Survivors Book Club - Timothy Schaffert
So, I already started a few of these so it will just be finishing them. Also since I’m gonna be going on a trip in a week I’m gonna try and get through as many of these as I can. I wanna use this blog to really hold me accountable, so I’ll post every time I finish a book.
