Common Uses: Cleansing, Connection to the Goddess, Fertility, New Beginnings, Opening of the Third Eye, Protection. Elemental Association: Water Planetary Association: The Moon Hag Stones, also known as Holey Stones, Witch Stones, or Adder Stones, are naturally occurring stones that have a hole or holes in them, typically found near the ocean and other bodies of water. The holes occur due to the elements taking their toll on the surface of the stone, eventually breaking their way through in a specific manner.  Known to be powerful protection charms, they are said to protect the owner from anything ranging from negative spirits to hexes to curses to spiritual harm. If hung up next to your bed side or kept under a pillow, it is said that they will aid in preventing nightmares. It is said that if one were to peer through one of a Hag Stone’s holes, it will allow you to see the Fair Folk and other otherworldly beings at will. At your own risk.
