i'm so sick about how jay goes from trying very hard to be a macho straight man in the webseries to what i can only describe as the halfway point to an old gay man doing crossword puzzles in fluffy pink slippers in viceland. young jay tries so hard to fit into the male role in heterosexual relationships but, as he becomes comfortable as matt's lifelong monogamous best friend, he's content to just be whatever he happens to be with him. and what he happens to be is a diva and a housewife.
