“Brunch? No thank you, I already ate on the way here.” Naki said as he licked blood out of the corner of his lips. The less said about that though, the better. He put his hands in his pockets and leaned forward to inspect her. She wasn’t a ghoul then? Strange.
Naki took a step back in shock when his nose was bopped. Whatever she was, she had strange ways of communicating.
He needed to be serious now. He was a man after all, and the leader of the white suits. There was another cannibal in trouble that he needed to protect.
“I can carry you just fine see.”
He picked her up with a surprisingly gentle touch for someone who lived such a violent lifestyle.
“There, just like a princess!” He laughed at his own observation, and began to bound forward his own ghoul strength having been recently returned to him, he ran at a speed much faster than any human could reach.
“So tell me, where do you want to go my princess.”
Again, silence. There’s far little what she can say in regard how he mishears and turns reality in ways she didn’t know were possible -- less you were missing a screw. “I don’t see a single stain in your clothes, I guess you’re no messy eater... Alright, I’ll be on your care.” A weird way to assert her trust but she had to make things clearer as she could before he mentioned something silly again.
...
Okay, she doesn’t hate being called that-- princess. It’s lovely and on its own and her ego is quite delighted by this. It doesn’t help the fact he isn’t brilliant nor perceptive but she won’t complain for a while. Plus, this was a free ride of sorts and who knows? Finding strong allies may become favourable in the long run... or till she recovers her own power.
“Can I leave up to you where will we go? Unfortunately, I don’t know my way around.”

Getting used to the city sure was a chore for the Buster, especially since he doesn’t know if the guy he fought before disappearing was still here, controlling demons and the such which made him cautious, especially since the power that boy held was not normal, even for a Demon Tamer.
He decided to quickly use his time in the city to search for demons and their Master, but to no avail he decided to give up for the day. Using what little money he had he bought a simple package of a sandwich and a drink, it was better than nothing he thought, and of course it was better than relying on supplies like the ones used in Tokyo.
“Hm. What to do now? I haven’t seen a single demon or Black soldier… Am I too late?” He muses to himself, coming to an abrupt stop after seeing a peculiar set of clothing. “Ah, another Devil Buster here?”
Standing up and trying to catch up he waves his hand, trying to catch her attention.
“E-Excuse me, do you have a sec?”
@reasonofyosuga
“Would one second be enough?” It’s embed in her nature to be dismissive, even a tad cruel in her approach. Her answer denotes what little interest she has in whatever business he must have but she has no motive to deny such a meek request -- she vaguely heard some mumbling before he called out to her and perhaps that was the key behind this mystery.
Was he a classmate or someone that had known of her before the Conception? She never saw him before, his face was average at best but she could have sworn it had a similar vibe to Naoki’s.
It has to be her nostalgia, nothing else.
“Let’s see, I’ll give you a whole minute.”

“A night? No, it’s already morning.”
He said, pointing to the sun in the sky that was already heralding the early beginnings of morning. Naki would continue to be a funny guy in her eyes it seemed, due to his misunderstanding. He had not been wandering around though, simply patrolling like Tatara ordered him too. He thought his nose caught the scent of another ghoul. He should probably confirm that right now though before he continued.
He ran a hand through his hair and then leaned forward at her, his eyes widened and then flared black as behind them veins began to pulse and stress. “Really? Are you sure? Because if you’re a ghoul like me, then eating other ghouls just tastes like eating somebody else’s recycled goods, you know, shit.”
Finally he took her hand, hoisting her up with him. “But whatever you say, even if you’re delicious I’ve already decided I’m going to help you, so deal with it.”
“You’re not the smartest of the bunch, huh? Forget it.” Maybe it wasn’t so bad she was going to become his meal, it would be a shame to be devoured by such an unique guy. Actually, she couldn’t stand the notion of becoming food for anyone that showed less intellect than her.
Why morons must be doused in power? Why not her anymore?
“The ghouls I know are brown, thin and quite skeletal for their appetite so nope, I’m not one. I’m just your demon-savvy gal.” The dormant power of Gozu-Tennoh inside her wasn’t worth mentioning, it barely offered a thing in this realm and as a pseudo-fiend she was already a failure. “I guess your type is pretty decent looking.” Locking brown eyes onto the black of his own, she arched an eyebrow eventually and her finger raised -- bopping his nose. She isn’t afraid of him, despite aware how her condition was in no way promising.
“That’s okay, help me out. Can you carry me?”
One day you forget to disguise yourself as that Shirou guy and the next thing you receive is the attention of everyone in the streets.
The Servant was slightly annoyed about the fact that everyone and their mother asked him what the tatoos meant, clearly not wanting to deal with the mess of some onths in the past he just went with the lie of ‘being an artist with a underground style’, yeah as if that’s gonna work.
“Haah, guess I should have it fully clear that if I move from this place I need that damn Shirou’s image. Man, what a pain in the ass.”
Thinking outloud for himself, he kept walking through the street, completely bored and ignorant of any situation that could be happening. Well, that is until someone straight up looked at him. For him it could be like the others, but this one looked full of interest towards him.
“…What. Too deep for you? I get it, people has said that before.”
@reasonofyosuga
“Deep? Not really.” Disappointment drips in her voice, curiosity exchanged for indifference -- she tries to feign the avid enthusiasm showed at first, the way her eyes widened and sparked in hope. It’s not him and that alone dampens her mood. So she tries to convince herself that this guy has some utility, that it’s not coincidence they have met.
“I thought you were someone I knew but now I see you’re only one pretentious artist.” She would try to buy into this lie, he did not appear quite as proud of his image but his appearance issues are none of Chiaki’s concern. Those tattoos simply incited a terrible feeling in her gut. “Or am I wrong? You have some nerve to walk around in the way you do. You don’t seem convinced of what you speak at all. It’s okay, we all make mistakes about our looks.”
Not her, of course.
Denim is always in.
Klarion did not yield in his childish behavior until the mocking smile appeared on the woman’s face; he almost laughed giddily. His irritation evaporated in an instant, replaced by utter delight. He hadn’t expected a response! Containing his glee, he chose to merely return the favor, grinning a toothy smile that stretched ear-to-ear.
“Certainly you can, just as I may stick my tongue out at whomever I please.”
What did she want from him, anyway? His life story? There was no particular “deal” with him or Teekl– one was a whimsical and magical brat and the other one was just grumpy. Fortunately, he was in no mood to elaborate on the ambiguity of her question, choosing instead to focus on her equally-strange follow-up.
“That certainly sounds like something a threat would say,” he tittered, raising a brow. “I’m not convinced.”
Very true.
She won’t deny him the right and neither will she lecture him from his behaviour, so a mere nod of acceptance shall do.
“I wish I was a threat but I’m not particularly capable of doing harm.” Even if she wanted, even if she needed to -- entertaining the thought was all she could allow in her current condition. It’s infuriating being so terribly weak, someone pitiable rather than a person capable of building her own world.
“Besides, what do I get from hurting you?” Self-satisfaction isn’t the goal here, not while she remained a weak human. Building allies, finding information and whatnot is essential rather than making enemies. “I’m trying to take it easy, let me accept first I am alive then I’ll reconsider throwing out my life again.”
Naki looked up at the women beating her fist against the wall. Rather than move forward to attack or flee he only tilted his head in the oddest way.
“Well if you have that kind of attitude I bet you taste like shit anyway, so I won’t eat you.”
He proclaimed rather rudely, even puckering his lizard like lips as he did so. The white suited ghoul knew as well as she did that the strong devoured the weak, he could have easily overpowered her but for some reason he had just flippantly thrown away the opportunity.
He took another step towards her, after his declaration of disinterest. What possible reason could he have for that, though. The answer was simpler than you would think. He had no reason, he was just doing this because he was Naki.
“So how about this pan, I’ll help you instead.”
He held out a hand to her. He probably meant pan, though.
Under the assumption here only savages wandered she gave permission to be express dinner, receiving an answer was among the least of her expectations. Lifting her gaze a rather funny guy standing in front with the strangest of faces -- she is initially confused, eyes widening. Nothing prepared her to find a slightly rational being within these halls.
“The only shit I see is the one your mouth spouts, I am definitively a quality meal. You will not have another chance of savouring such a delicious person.” His disinterest to devour her is one she takes for granted, assuming it a vague insult when she fully knew how standards worked.
She extends her hand, gesturing to be helped back on her feet.
“How will you help me, then? You’re all decked in white so I hope this knight of mine won’t be incompetent.”
The extrication to this place these scientists perform must certainly be something; they seemed to be able to fetch others from such varied places and states of being. It was writ large that this one’s situation had been most dire, if not terminal, in their rather fragile seeming state. How intriguing.
Also interesting was how she so easily noticed Aisen’s inhuman lineage. The sorceress had already encountered a few who had cottoned on to her abnormality, either through physical scent or some mystical sense. This was apparently the former, and this girl apparently was familiar enough with demons to notice it as such. Her demons must also not be quite the same, if her apparent surprise at Aisen’s essentially human state was any indication.
“You certainly have a way with words, my dear.” She slightly chuckles, smirk lightly turning up the corners of a beautiful, petite face. “I am sure you are quite capable of piecing together why that is, are you not?” There was no use trying to mince words when the other could clearly perceive what she was. “Well, I suppose there is a minor corollary; I am still mostly human, even more than usual. Mine is a fairly unique parentage, even by the standards of cambion.”
`“I’m not so sure anymore about anything at all.” Doubts linger in every thought that crosses her mind, voiced out through raw annoyance. “You seem proud of what you are, is there a reason to that?” Lips contort into a forced smile -- it’s silly, hilarious even how she has been forced to question around like some stupid child. Adjust, suit herself to the new rules of another game. And then there’s this woman, a bitter reminder of the Conception. However, it’s selfish to assume demons are not a constant in the every existing world. Their control is so vast, she couldn’t conceive the possibilities such a power granted outside of their small universe.
It’s... so tempting.
“Sorry if I pry, I’ve never heard or seen someone like you.”
And now she can regret losing her pseudo-fiend position. Ah, somehow she must acquire it again -- it’s by that instant her gaze sparks with an intense curiosity and she shows herself more amicable than before.
“I’d love to learn more about this, if you are willing to spare time for me.”

“Revenge is never a straight line. It’s a forest, And like a forest it’s easy to lose your way… To get lost… To forget where you came in.”
“You become weak once you forget.”
“Letting your own emotions eat away your resolve destroys the strength you built thus far. Is it worth it then? Worth all the pain and suffering you overcame? There will be no purpose in destroying those that have wronged you.
That’s why only the strong survive.
Because they don’t forget.”

Klarion was always hyper-aware of others’ stares boring into his back ever since he escaped to the Blue Rafters. Sure, his skin was blue and he was dressed like a “pilgrim.” Okay. And his hair always assumed the form of devil horns. Yeah! Fine! But even his own people gazed at him with wariness after he left– not that he could blame them. Still, he thought that he would be used to it by now.
But as Klarion watched the city, entranced at the flashing lights and technology, he could not shake the nagging sensation, and it began to irritate him. Even Teekl, tucked safely in his arms, growled quietly, her tail swishing to and fro. So, eventually, he did what any normal person would do: he turned to the person he believed to be the culprit and met their gaze dead-on.
…
And slowly, but surely, stuck his tongue out at them.
Yes, it’s curious to see someone stand out as much as herself. Except, she could blend easily thanks to the slightly modern clothes and exposure to a similar kind of world prior the Conception. It’s only a few glances she spares, allowing her own theories go round in her mind till she realised how useless was to pry.
Playing in with the rules of this world was all she can do but right now fighting is but a way to beg for death. Unfortunately, she found herself being stared at and she could only reciprocate till his tongue was stuck out.
How childish.
Hand on hip, lips pursing before letting her sardonic smile appear.
“What is you and your fluffball’s deal? Can’t I look wherever I want?”
“I’m not a threat.”

@lbow
Weak.
So weak.
It haunts her. Seeing herself feeble.
At everyone’s mercy.
Again.
She cannot tolerate the idea any longer and every second spent is a reminder of how she lost and how stupid her actions had been all along. Now robbed from everything she built in the Conception, weighs heavily on her tired shoulders.
It’s her own fault -- having to hide within the depths of the isolated halls of district gamma. The mist is thick, she cannot differ any path from each other and all she can do is walk in circles or even get more lost than before.
Footsteps resounds within the building and she has to stop herself. Perhaps it’s useless going on. From what was she running from anyway?
Her back rests against a wall, letting it slide slowly till she hits the ground. Annoyed to the core, Chiaki slams her fist against the wall and she sighs, annoyed. It will be her downfall again but weakness is not something that can be discarded so easily.
“If you plan to kill or eat me, then do it fast. I’m not in the mood to put up a fight.”
@revolvingmist
“Saying it wasn’t my intention would be an outright lie.” Holding an empty bottle of water revealed what occurred here -- she had the nerve of throwing it to him after thinking he was a ghost. Chiaki sighed, a tad annoyed by her sudden paranoia. Her attitude didn’t give off any apologetic vibe, apparently she wasn’t exactly feeling guilty over her action.
“I mean, your head is kind of... misty but, sorry anyway.”
@convecnation
Air rushes into her lungs abruptly, stealing her from the slightest strength in her body. Chiaki falls onto pavement, unable of keeping herself still and it’s the instant she can process the very fact she is alive. Hell is not here and neither can she detect traces from catastrophe. A normal city that has only revived the failed reason of Yosuga and trapped her inside. Stillness reigns and nausea invades the pit of her stomach -- this is what the weak deserves.
Then a familiar faint scent pervades in the air, one that she wished to forget. The brown-haired girl looks around desperately, only to find an adult woman rather than one of those hellish creatures.
“You are not...,” she pauses, fingers reaching for lips and then, a twisted smile draws onto them -- she is visibly nervous by the way her dark irises shake and afterwards, the dry laugh following. How despicable to breakdown in the very face of a stranger. “Ah, sorry! You reek of demon."
