Brynhildr notes as she had not quiet seen him smile from her own accord. Rather, it would
seem a rare occurence when he had… However, when it occured. The brillance upon his face; he looked just like Siegfried. His father, it showed so easily it ought but took a simple thought or two to connect. As well as her Noble Phantasm, allowing her to peer into the heroisms of those worthy.
“I thank you for the compliment, Lancer.” Siegmund nods at the Valkyrie’s words, it was true that the king rarely smiled, having taken all those years to rebuild his country and rule faily made him to remain with a continous frown on his face. “Was there you needed from me, Brynhildr? If you are searching for my father, I cannot tell you. Even I don’t know where he is right now.”
Perhaps he was misjudging very quickly.
The far-side of the moon was certainly strange, never he thought he would be sent to this place ever since being summoned. With the information he was given by the Moon Cell this place shouldn’t even be possible to enter. But here he was, with his Master by his side.
Not only that, but the girl in front of him, it sure gave him a bad feeling. Thinking of it, wasn’t she the infirmary NPC to begin with? Questions, questions.

“ then … perhaps both. siegmund on normal occasions and younger brother when i’m feeling playful. ” to actually have a younger sibling, oh how exciting. as the younger, she truly wished to have one of her own. how she’d act towards them, however, would be … difficult. “ problems … you have a mother, correct ? what is she like ? i’ve never had a parental figure before. how should i approach her ? ”
“If that makes you happy, I’ll go along with it.” Truly it would take some time to get used to the whole ‘younger brother’ stuff, being raised as the only son did have some issues when you got close to people in a way like this. So Skuld won’t be the only one having difficulty, that is for sure. “Yeah, I have a mother. She... well, she is caring to those she loves, and is willing to sacrifice a lot for them. Have you heard of Siegfried, the Dragon Slayer? The other part of the story is her revenge towards my uncle and his retainer who killed my father.”
He coughs, realizing he was getting out of topic. You could approach her like you approach me, just pay some respects. She is a Queen, after all. Especially since our new... siblinghood? would be pretty big news. If you’d like I can accompany you with her.”
She pulls her feet back beneath her, “I must look a disgrace, falling apart like this… but I find I can’t quite bring myself to care what others may think of this. I have my son back.” Her smile is radiant as she blinks back the tears, overjoyed to see and hold her baby boy once more, “How have you been holding up without your father or I? ”
“Nonsense.” He chuckles, putting a hand on his mother’s cheek. “You acted like any other woman, mother would have. Do not feel ashamed, plus, I do not care what others think, we both are on our right to be emotional after seeing each other after so many years.”
“I did fare alright, thank you for asking. I raised our kingdom, Nibelungland to glory, as shortlived as it was. I died when I was 26 years old, but that is an story for another time. What about you? Did that snake of my uncle suffer?”

Noble Phantasms’ finally finished. Had to put some thought on them, but I’m glad I could finish them. I took some liberties here and there, considering that the Nasuverse has some weird stuff, much like Dainsleif being a sword to kill Sigurd yet said to be in the Nibeungenlied’s version of Fafnir’s treasure.

Dainsleif, Cursed Sword of Ruin:

Originally a demonic sword from Fafnir’s hoard of gold. However, Siegmund demanded the sword to be reforged into two, so it lost most of its power, originally an Anti-Army Noble Phantasm. A sword that by mere chance or bad luck it found it’s way with the King himself, as the name implies it is a cursed sword that contains the powerful curse of “reparation” to be used on its target. It also drives the fate of the owner to ruin and most likely to their deaths.

A defensive Noble Phantasm. It makes Siegmund to become a Dragon-like beast the more he is wounded in battle, it slowly eats away his sanity with every wound he receives during the duration of battle, it makes him to be covered in a dark-gray armor similar to Fafnir’s scales, as the latter’s blood runs on his veins thanks to Siegfried being half-Fafnir as well.
Passively, it heals his wounds faster than anything but doesn’t restore stamina, it also can’t deflect attacks like Siegfried’s Armor of Fafnir, meaning that Siegmund is capable of being injured with simple attacks, but those wounds will heal even faster. A superhuman Healing Factor of sorts. However, this doesn’t mean he won’t get tired, stabbings and such will still sap his stamina like with any other person.
However, for the armor to cover him completely he needs to receive a mortal wound, but he has to actually survive this to prop the activation, the indicator for this is if his eyes go from azure to golden.
As the sanity of Siegmund is robbed, his stats get a + bonus that isn’t permanent ( FGO mechanic wise it is a 1 turn buff). However, the duration of his Noble Phantasm lasts as long as Siegmund remains conscious before spacing out due his wounds and sapped stamina, once this effect ends the armor breaks and makes Siegmund return to normal.
Send a 👫 and I’ll write four headcanons I have about our muse’s relationship
1.- While Skuld is the “older” sister and Siegmund is the youngest, they sometimes treat the other the other way around, although it is weird for this to happen since Skuld is way older than Siegmund in any sense.
2.- Despite Kriemhild’s teasings about his younger years, he wouldn’t mind telling Skuld of them if she ever asks him with complete curiosity. Though he will be still embarrassed.
3.- As Siegmund isn’t really used to have a sibling since he was raised as the only son of Siegfried and Kriemhild, he sometimes speaks to her as if speaking to a stranger, examples being like using etiquette with her because of the status she has as a Norn.
4.- Huuuuh, every now and then you can see them speaking with a cup of coffee or tea along with some pastries after a mission. Siegmund always had a sweet tooth, and was raised to share his sweets with people, especially his family.
