liz's all-seeing, all-knowing, all chic mani at the samantha pleet presentation.
Sara knows how to make a girl’s hands look good. Nail art by Ria.
I get really manic when I'm overtired or when my period starts. Hyper-productivity and chattiness and whatnot. I can practically hear my uterus saying, "Sup! You think you're in a good mood right now? Enjoy it because next comes the cramps and the tit pain and the swelling and bloating and the insistent need to pee and the tears and the desire to kill EVERYONE and the elevator scene from The Shining!"
That being said, I like that companies like Diva Cup are trying to rebrand menstrual cycles and make periods a positive thing where women are encouraged to honour their bodies and see fertility as an amazing gift. It reminds me of my grade twelve women's history teacher.
Boards of Canada - Constants are Changing
In Britain, students don’t begin paying off their loans until they find stable employment, and the cost is in proportion to their earnings. Australia similarly ties the cost of paying off the loan to the income of the graduate. In Denmark, education is considered a right by the people and an investment by the government, and is therefore free. Some students are even offered a stipend by the government to defray costs. Norway has a similar system of higher education, and in Sweden, students pay only a small fee. In America? The university is considered a commodity, one that can easily be purchased by the wealthy, but not the poor. These approaches represent a fundamentally different cultural attitude: elsewhere, education is a public good, an investment or a right; in the U.S., it’s a privilege reserved for wealthy elites.
Does America hate millennials? (via spoilsofmatter)
seriously. our education system is so fucked.

"Satellite of Love" by Lou Reed // Transformer (1972 // RCA)
I certainly can’t add anything poetic to the outpouring of love that has been posted today in regards to Lou Reed's passing, so I won't try. Instead, I'll just say that it saddens me for the world to lose anyone who has created works that have changed lives through music, or any artistry for that matter. Lou Reed's catalog of music is wide and varied and truth be told, outside of the first couple of decades of his creative output, I'm not terribly well versed in his life's work. His later years and his notoriously prickly attitude towards any sort of press, often made it difficult to relate to him, but that's not important. That being said, the work that grabbed me in my younger years - as I was discovering music and connecting the dots of influences back and forth in an attempt to find how one thing influences another - still grabs me today. The power in his words and his conviction to artistry is inspiring and surely will be that way always. The man's influence can be felt all over modern music, if not immediately, then certainly within a few degrees, and for that reason alone, it's a sad day. Of course, the passing of an important artist does not erase the history that they left behind and therefore it's never too late to be reminded of what made them exciting and important. Transformer was the first album of Reed's that ever grabbed me, and in turn led me further back to the Velvet Underground years, but still, it was Transformer and in turn, the beautiful songs “Satellite of Love” and “Perfect Day” that introduced me to the artist, and helped me understand how important his fingerprint is on the history of modern rock music. I hope that his family and friends are warmed by the love that his fans have poured back into the world through his influence.

Ok, I seriously need to know who designed this!! This is quite possibly the cutest lingerie set I’ve ever seen. Perfection.
It’s a Japanese lingerie brand— Amphi maybe?
