Map Analysis
I collected a range of maps, some of my favourite from USE-IT Travel who produce maps aimed at young people looking for an adventure. These maps give you good tips and pointers of places to visit, as well as great designs.
For my map It would be good to come up with different points to be included for each of the restaurants. My research was focused but not limited to typography so i need to think about how this will effect the map and how type is used. I need to consider the design of the mapped area and if it should be realistic or just represent the area to follow by looking at the things around you etc. Maybe at the type? I could create the byron stores as the big focus of the map and smaller details around it. I also need to think of the format. These two were slightly smaller than two others I have which have 1 extra fold out. I think this size is easy to manage and not too much to struggle with in the street when you using it. I could also play around with how it fold up, how it is stored etc.

BYRON MAP
This is the Byron website showing how they map the locations of their restaurants. They have a lot of London restaurants now but I am going to just focus on mapping the ones which I researched from my dissertation and the story around them.

Finding Conversation
I am going to be looking at conversations by recording and quantifying my conversations. This project started off with me rating my conversations from a whole week, specifically looking at online and offline communication.

TAXICAB Fact Book by Rodney Stiles
A full 90 percent of all the data in the world has been generated over the last two years. Internet-based companies are awash with data that can be grouped and utilized. Is this a good thing?

Responses
These are a selection of the replies from the exhibition of Number Collector. Some people left only a few numbers so I repeated them to create a pattern. The numbers people collected are noted down the right side of the image.
