Do you believe?

Do you believe in Jesus? Did He come as the Son of God? Did He live to die, cleansing you from your sins? Are you clean? Believers are no longer condemned. Believe! Stop living as though you might be punished one day. This thinking draws our eyes away from our Savior, the One who saves us, reforms us, gives us renewed and everlasting life. Focus your attention on Jesus and embrace the joy He gives, in this life and the life to come! Stop living on the edge. Plunge in completely.

Rest

It is done. It is finished. Through Christ, law, which required work from us, was fulfilled. When His Holy Spirit indwells, God lives through us, offering His character and strength which satisfies rule. Focus on Christ and rest. Rest in His mercy and grace. Rest from earning favor. Rest in this Holy place of being.

You will die on the day appointed by God. He is the only One in control. Your enemy (person, health issue, accident, whatever you fear) has no power beyond God’s will. Stop worrying about them, trust the Lord, and let His peace soothe your fretful heart.

Rest

Has someone’s prickly wickedness touched your life, disrupted your peace, tangled an element of worry and fear through your day? Harshness of another need not disturb you, no matter how close it is. Turn your mind to God, trust Him with the situation, and relax in His peace. Rest.

Plant A Seed

What do you do? How do you respond when you’re #hurt? Do you rise up in #anger, demand #justice, or lose control all together? When that moment of pain strikes, I urge you to turn to #God instead. Lay your fury at His feet. Get quiet with Him and allow Him to #comfort you. Take your time. In His presence, His #patience fills you, affording you the #clarity to face your situation calmly and directly. When it’s time to respond, the one who inflicted the pain may glimpse the nature of God in your gentle reply, and it may plant a seed.

Be Bold

A new song. That’s what’s on the tongues of believers, put there by our Lord. Its melody is crafted with skills imparted by Him, drifting heavenward, a tune of praise and worship. God has given you abilities. Your part in His plan is important. Glorify Him, and be bold.

It’s in His control, the big and little things of life. God’s will is being done. Nobody is powerful enough to sway it. He is the Creator of all.

No matter who we are, what we believe, or when God reveals His greatness to us, we will all praise His name.

When we face storms in our lives, rather than cry out for God to rebuke them, trust Him and rest during them, as if they don’t even exist.

Well Done, Faithful Servant!

Trusting of the Lord’s will, constantly focused on Him, and being loyal to Him regardless of what He allows, that is being a faithful servant of God. Blessings come to those who are faithful. I’m not referring to earthly or material things. I’m talking about the amazing blessing of being united with our Master. This Spiritual bond brings us into a joy only God can give. Enter in.

In His Presence

When we look to the Lord and keep our focus on Him, His Presence is sensed. We know He watches over us and that He hears us. But when we are turned from Him, intent on things of the world instead, we question whether He is real or cares. Turn around and look at the face of God, and seek His companionship.

The Holy Spirit is the very pulse of life, Christ’s life. Nothing on earth compares to the awesomeness of that life filling us. From this filling shines a Light. However, those who’ve not experienced it for themselves won’t understand and will be critical and judgemental. That’s okay. Shine on. The darkness needs it.
