About ICE detention centres
You can dress it up anyway you want. You can state, "it's the law"* until you're blue in the face. You can try to disguise your Xenophobia by claiming, "Well we need to take care of our own first- there are poor and homeless here". You can try to hide your Islamophobia by yelling, "We can't have these Muslims here - 'cause they don't respect our females!" But then explain why you don't give a shit about the homeless, and women unless it benefits your racist agenda? How come you voted for a president that openly talks about sexually assaulting women? How come you mock homeless people, want to take away their benefits, call them lazy, and tell them to, "just get a job".
America and Canada have been treating Indigenous people like this.** Separating families, stealing babies, forcing assimilation. So what is the excuse for that? White christians are the ones that came to Turtle Island illegally. It was white christians that r*ped, murdered, and stole the land of the native people. We are the ones that did all of the things the government tells you Latinx and Muslims are going to do.
So just be fucking honest. This isn't about the law. This isn't about homeless people, or women's rights. This is about you all hating anyone that isn't white, or at least assimilates to western culture.
All the people that supported the Nazis had the same bullshit excuses. You're no different than them. Hitler and Trump have the same rhetoric. Trump even openly uses white supremacist terms, Including calling a Jewish reporter "sleepy eyes", a term you can find in Nazi documents as one of the identifiers of a Jewish person.
(And if you try to say you're not racist - but you only accept POC that are light skinned and/or assimilate - I.e. If you are okay with Black people as long as they don't "talk Black"*** - You are a fucking racist )
*because something is lawful does not mean it's ethical. Slavery was legal, killing people because they were Jewish, Romani, Polish, Gay, Black, Communist, mentally or physically disabled, Pagan, or anyone suspected of witchcraft have all been legal. Ffs, child marriage is still legal in many countries, and US states. Obviously there are way more examples but my point is - fuck the law.
