Any chance for a comic featuring Krennic and Vader fighting about who has the best cape?
i refuse to apologise
i 100% blame @sapphicsabine for inspiring me to put effort into making this thing w/ this post, and @shattered-earth for making this chart in the first place
if i has to pick the least possible place to find a photoshopped picture of the Solo family in a confetti heart frame, it would have to be the gift shop of a sea lion cave in a small oregon town. and yet
skybridger couldve been the ship of the century. like now i understand why ezra cant be around the rebellion- all it would take is one glance for luke to fall in love. their chemistry coudlve been SO GOOD
star wars canon looking at kanan and ezra at the end of season 4:
Audacity and Bravery
companion piece for obi wan’s per anon’s request ))
Very fucked up of Star Wars to have a character who’s a bad guy
I just discovered there are more than one bad guy in Star Wars and I’m livid
Opinions on morally grey characters?
Explain to me that word
Someone who does bads but maybe goods too?
What the fuck… You are fucking with me
I'm all in the train Kylo will end up blind. This could somehow make him "pay" for his crimes while making him less dangerous so the Resistance can agree in leaving him somehow free, with maybe some type of chip to control him. Maybe he will be able to see Rey through the Force Bond. It's hard, but better than being exiled or executed.
Wow this is so weird to me. People think being made disabled is like a real punishment rather than stopping to think if this puritanical “must pay in blood for your crimes” bullshit is even a relevant way to view fiction. Hint: it’s not.
Kylo should pay for his crimes, but by crippling him like that? No. Jane Eyre did the same thing but here’s the thing Jane Eyre was written 200 years ago.
He should probably turn himself in to The Resistance after all the dust has settled and later get released from his prison sentence.
Disagree. Fictional characters don’t need to do anything. They aren’t real. The only thing fictional characters owe their stories is narrative/thematic relevance.
I mean in the context of the story because it would be just plain weird if Kylo got off with a slap on the wrist. Him going to prison would have him getting a punishment, but also shows us the hope of redemption for him.
Him going to prison is narratively boring tho.
More interesting would be if they can use his narrative as a means of redemption within the story rather than some payment transaction to assuage American puritanical views on fiction
I really hate this discussion. Cutting him off from the force? That’s the stupidest thing. This was about achieving balance, taking away his force power would unbalance everything again, no?
And then people demanding/expecting mutilation? This being a fictional story aside…is the “eye for an eye” mentality still going this strong? As @jediwhinetrick said: he suffered already, actually before he was even born- and also arguably more so than all the other people involved in his misery.
Let his actions determine his redemption not certain real life views. When you say #savebensolo actually mean it. Let the guy live and HEAL, not just survive. Surviving is all he’s done until now.
I am an actual blind person and I’m going to chime in here.
“Punishing” someone by blinding them is an ableist idea. A disability is not a punishment. Sensory disabilities are better thought of as an alternative, AND STILL COMPLETE, way of experiencing the world. Thinking of disability as a punishment presents blindness as inherently a form of suffering. Which it absolutely is not. I would know.
Receiving a disabling injury does not make someone less dangerous. Think. Kylo has the force and he probably doesn’t need vision to use it. Also, the idea that a character would be “less dangerous” without their vision is ableist as hell because it implies that people without vision can’t do things, that they can’t make impactful decisions.
Are you aware that there are tons of blind martial artists??? Along with blind fencers, blind archers, blind triathletes, etc. There are blind lawyers, there have been blind congresspeople, even John Milton was blind when he wrote Paradise Lost.
Fandom has always had a problem with sexism and racism and, as y’all can tell from this anon, ableism.
Maybe some people don’t realize this, but there are actual blind people on this site who like Star Wars too. Don’t talk about blind people and blindness like it’s just a metaphorical concept in a movie. Don’t assume that blind people are not human and won’t read your uninformed ideas.
Thoughts aside, this isn’t to say that it’s impossible for a character like Kylo Ren to get that kind of injury, but that we need to be respectful of each other in how we talk about people being injured.
@jediwhinetrick is right in suggesting that punishment by blood (like loosing an arm, or an eye) is puritanical and I agree that Disney will probably go in a much more hopeful direction for the end of the series.
Thanks for your thoughts on this @lunaplath
I’m disabled too, albeit in an entirely different way [autistic], but it’s something that rubs me the wrong way. Becoming disabled as “punishment” as if we disabled live lives condemned – as if becoming disabled is a fate worse than or equivalent to death.
But yeah, I think redemption has a multitude of ways to resolve itself, and Kylo/Ben is already and will continue suffering anyway. We don’t need to conflate being disabled with being punished/suffering. It’s such an archaic way of looking at a redemption arc or payment for crimes, and I hope to see Disney use other means of showcasing a redemption. America needs to move away from the puritanical view that crimes need payment in blood – they need to pick up a copy of The Scarlet Letter and revise their ideas on how people can live lives redeemed.
“You’re a monster.” “Yes I am.” OH mah , What have I done .
ive already seen the young han solo movie….it was called star wars (a new hope) and was released in 1977! isn’t that amazing? cancel the one coming out in 2018 we don’t need it
Kinda ironic for someone with a rogue one username to be commenting on unnecessary movies
I don’t usually post pics of myself but 1. It’s a great shot by @marshalclark and 2. Chances are high that I may never accidentally look this cool again.
Rian on canto bight👌
B&W photos have special charm. That is good shot.

I’m cryin god.... please god bless all those fic authors out there with the good plots...... may the lord instill in you the will to finish fics. lots of love from this illiterate bitch who doesn’t know how to write, and can hardly come up with anything interesting at all. happy new year
i hate that i’m so absent as a person. i don’t start conversations. i can barely maintain them. i’m so weary and spaced out all the time to the point where i can’t even keep up small talk and i’m just so disappointed in myself
