tbh, anyone and i really mean anyone can tag me in a starter. it doesn’t matter if we have a million threads together, or if we’ve never threaded together. i adore random starters.

Can we all JUST take a moment to appreciate Orihime’s legs???!?!?!?!
She lowered her hands and leaned a bit forward to get a better look, making sure not to get too into the girl’s space as she commented, “Looks like a simple bolt lock… at least they didn’t meld it or I guess the rest of the suit would suck to take off if you need to shower.”
As she moved her pack so she could start sifting through it, Rebecca replied, “I mostly can’t really get used to how that thing makes your neck look like that of a giraffe.”
Elizabeth flinched when the other leaned forward, as little as it was. She was quick to get a few steps back, arms crossed over her chest defensively, feeling her skin crawl under the woman’s gaze.
Quite literally. The woman would surely notice how her suit almost undulated uneasily under the thin latex of her arms and shoulders,
“But....I don’t shower. I was kept in sterile containment....I was never dirty.” she said, shifting nervously on the balls of her bare feet,
“.....I guess that’s why they put it on me.” It had made reaching her spine that much easier.

while free of the stench of a host, what lingers in the air is something else, almost SINISTER (his nose twitches with anticipation, muscles tense & relax; this new found stench is nothing like a host, & it’s getting him excited for a new opponent). poor woman, so small, unsuspecting –
YOU’VE GOT DEATH FOLLOWING YOUR SHADOW.
habit & preference keeps him sticking to the darkened pathways, the man of many names but one goal keeps his gaze of piercing green & blue on her. he’ll follow until the time is right, when she leaves the bustling streets.
Elizabeth walked calmly down the busy streets of the Yellow Zone, avoiding bumping into anyone as she weaved her way back home after a rather short shift at the cafe. The last week had been pretty calm for her; not many customers had been coming in as usual, which wasn’t uncommon with the progressing sanitation of the city.
She took a quick turn into a side alley, like always, and sped up just a fraction. The backstreets were dangerous, she knew that, but it’s not like she wasn’t dangerous too.
Redlight thrummed agreeably under her skin, ready in the event she needed to call on it.
Sorry if I’m being a little slow/quiet, I’m still working on my pages and icons, along with picking music for a blog playlist, AND doing drafts. Hopefully I can finish everything today or in the next few days. Thank you for your patience!
Taking a look at the collar around her neck, she saw that it nearly made her neck look extended and a bit stiff to bend.
Holding her hands out to show she wasn’t planning to harm her, Rebecca offered, “If you want, I can get it off for you… or at least loosen it if you like that fashion.”
Elizabeth watched her raise her hands in a placating manner, but she still didn’t trust her intentions. Why would this woman offer to help her?
No one does anything for free.
“I’ve tried but....it doesn’t budge.” she said, fingers making their way back to her suit collar, “Why help me though? Do you....want something from me?”
It was so stereotypical that Alex actually hesitated. A young woman obliviously wandering the back streets being stalked by a thug obviously not meaning well… it’s the exact sort of thing he’d expect for a trap. Criminals were an easy, mostly guilt free source of biomass, and he knew that eventually someone was going to notice the decrease in the population.
He was so concerned about the possible ambush that he almost didn’t act in time. The thug sped up, one hand reaching for the woman, the other reaching into his pocket -
- Alex hit the man hard, his weight and momentum causing them to slide across the asphalt with an abrupt stop when they hit the curb. Slamming both fists hard into his target’s head pulped the brain, ensuring that he wouldn’t have to know exactly what the man had been plotting, and one flurry of feeder tendrils later, the only sign the man had ever been there was a rather nasty looking splash of blood on the curbside.
It was only then that Alex remembered that he had an audience. Warily, he glanced up for the young woman he’d inadvertently saved, bracing himself for the screams.
There was a slight tingling feeling making its way up her arms, like there was something her body didn’t react well to nearby. Seeing as she was an Infected in a city currently being sterilized, that happened often enough that she thought little of it.
That is, until she heard the familiar sound of bodies hitting pavement, a startled yelp on her lips as she whirled around to face it with wide eyes. Elizabeth flinched hard at the sound of fists hitting bone, closing her eyes to avoid seeing what kind of mess the poor man's head had become.
Clutching her hands to her chest, she took a small peek at what was happening when things started sounding wet, as strange as that was. What she saw had her squeezing her eyes shut once more.
Tendrils! The hooded man had tendrils! Could he possibly be Infected like her?
Once the noises stopped, green eyes opened, looking at the other in shock and fear, gaze going from the man to the puddle of blood on the curb. Her mind was buzzing with questions, but her mouth refused to work; instead she kept staring.
