I think there is literally nothing worse than seeing a pic of your bias and your heart doing a little jump and you want to reblog but then you notice itās whitewashed to hell and you canāt support that crap so you have to pass it byā¦
This is a clear exlanation tho about #fansite #kpop and #whitewash
cr : @ksymh on twitter
very informative! I didnāt know light worked like that
Letās see how the recoloring blogs think of this since theyāre basically ignoring our attempts on telling the truth. Stealing and editing idols photographerās pictures can be taken as a crime. stop reblogging posts that says things aboutĀ ātheir real skin toneā and spread these facts instead. I didnāt put up a long post for nothing and people should really hear what korean fans think about this. Iām happy that @ksymh explained this issue, this isnāt my profession so this would add up to my posts possibly.
why is this girl using white balance on a portrait?? (Iām a photographer like I get paid for my photos) You donāt use white balance it screws with skin tone. Maintaining a personās skin tone to where they still arenāt white in Photoshop is simple. I have photographed my friends (who are Asain btw) in all different types of lighting and they have never looked white? There is 0 reason to white-wash an idol so...
You're doing the lord's work bb keep doing what ya do
thank you so much, recently I have been doubting what Iāve been doing because of that one girl, then I remembered on the internet people pretend to be people they arenāt so I asked my AsianĀ friends (one who lived in China for basically her entire life) what they thought and every single one of them had a positive response so Iām gonnaĀ keep doing what Iām doing. Also on theĀ āphotographyā things the one girl sent me I am a photographer I get paid to do photography and not white-washing people in photography isnāt all that hard, and if you do screw up photoshop exist so there is like 0 reasons to have an idol look white when they arent...
if you care about knowing the truth on what you're doing right now, read my posts on my blog about the recoloring issue. As a korean person these photos are making their skin tones way darker. Stop spreading wrong information please.
Hi there! Iām not quite sure if you actually went through my blog or just looked up recoloring blogs, but the photos I edit are ones that have been specifically edited to make them look whiter. Iām finding photos that have already been white washed and fixing them I am not taking non-white washed photos and making them darker. I am sorry you feel that I am spreading wrong info, but making kpopĀ idols look white is wrong info and I am simply fixing that. I do have I think maybe 2 photos on my blog where the lighting is totally wrong and makes them look very white, but five seconds in photoshop and you can fix the lighting. Like I said Iām sorry you feel this way, but you should be messaging the people who make idols look overly pale and white, not one of the people fixing it (and a few poorly lit photos as well)
I already know you and a lot of recoloring blogs take whitewashed photos and recolor them on what you think is their ānatural skin colorā , and i wanted to say that they are paler than what you recolor them as. Care to look at my posts and discussions i had with another recoloring blog like yours? Stop recoloring please. International fans need to stop spreading false information and create streotypes.
I'm not quite sure which one of my photos you are referring could you please provide an example of which one of my photos you think I have edited to make too dark?
hey, can you recolor any recent picture of choi kisu pls?
Just posted it!! (I was pleasantly surprised to find that almost all pictures of him arenāt whitewashed!)
Recolored Kisu
DO NOT LIGHTEN
(also small authors note, Kisu has naturally paler skin so thatās why there isnāt a significantĀ difference in the photos since I basically just had to turn down the brightness a smidge)Ā
