More Ellipses
Various Robot Drawer Sketches
More Weird Repeated Trig Functions over Complex Plane
The colors are taken from a picture of a geode.
Bunch of Repeated Trig Complex Graphs
These images are the result of repeated trig and other functions over the complex plane.
Lines Between Two Squares
Bézier Petal
These were drawn with a start and an ending point around a circle with 2 control points also moving around the circle in different patterns to create a set of Bézier curves.
More Processing -> Plotter
Dragon level 14 nearest neighbor, and two sketches of continuous ellipses on a "rotating" sheet of paper.
More Ellipses and a set of Flowsnakes
Ellipses
Lots of ellipses. Each of these is based on a simulation of an arm drawing ellipses on a rotating sheet of paper.
Happy Sine Accidents
I was trying to do something else, but ended up with these happy accidents.
Bees Knees - Hexagon Wave
Desmos link and processing link.
Fibonacci Fractal
The bottom image is on paper, 64 by 64 seeds.
Sine Graphs from Pictures
Here’s my son and Reggie Dunlop (Paul Newman from Slap Shot) represented by sine curves. Here’s some code if you’d like to make one of these images yourself!
Depth map of a octal complex function
Here’s a depth map f(z)=0.001*(z^8 + 308 z^4 - 5184) where the peaks are the roots, ±2, ±2i, and ±3 ±3i. Can you spot those 8 roots on the 3d model or the following pictures? The white version is the negative of the depth map. There are also some 2d renders of this function, and one #plottertwitter version on black paper.
Cardioid Gasket
Here’s the desmos code.
Perlin Crosshatch
I was inspired by @paulrickards and used processing to make some Perlin noise 4 color hatch art. More of Paul’s work: https://twitter.com/paulrickards/status/998690767982952449?s=21 …
Lissajous Roulettes, Inked
Here’s the processing, and desmos sketches. I had one line of text on the original pdf, and it has a typo. Bad Dan.
