Hm. Red Robin keeps falling asleep in strange places.

He slept under the Batmobile yesterday.

He can't do that. We could have run him over.

Maybe. We've got a big family, lots of siblings and you've got Dami as Robin now aswell

I'm just saying -- Jason died i was Robin it was great, now Damians here and Jason's back and I'm like a Robin spinoff, I'd be fine if I was out

He stepped in with the ghost of a loving smile on his face, slightly awkward too.

"So,"

He cleared his throat.

"When was the last time you slept?"

Tim huffed rubbing his heavy eyebags, figure swallowed up in a hoodie big enough most likely to even fit Jason, almost pouting.

"Recently enough for more purposes I'll have you know"

Oh, Tim looked really cute, maybe he could get Alfred to take a picture- he was losing focus. Right. Bruce raised one eyebrow skeptically.

"Is that so?"

He nodded, tucking his messy hair out of his face trying to look as stubborn and assertive as he could in his current sleepy state

"It is, sleeping for hours at a time is for the weak, naps are all you need to survive. People need to learn to optimize"

"So you don't want to fall asleep cuddling?"

Bruce let himself smirk just a little bit. His kiddo looked really stinking cute right then.

"I guess I misunderstood."

"I did not say that!" Tim frowned, pouting genuinely now

"Also, i can stay awake cuddling. That's an option to. Do not twist my words. Mean and evil i can't believe this" he exclaimed dramatically, arms crossing, tho the sleeves came over his hands

He let a small chuckle out.

"Of course, Timothy, how could I ever suggest that you need a human amount of sleep?"

He held his arms out in invitation.

"Come here kiddo."

"Exactly" he huffed before Bruce opened his arms and he smiled, relaxing heavily again before shifting over and flopping into his dads arms, face landing pressed to his chest, mumbling under his breath "mph. Warm."

Bruce caught him easily and huffed another quick laugh, wrapping his arms around his son.

"Let's sit down, alright sweetheart?"

His voice was gentle as he moved over to the bed and sat down on the edge, pulling Tim with him.

"Mhm.." Tim nodded though all his weight was pressed onto Bruce now, moving with him and allowing himself to be pulled up

Bruce hummed softly, scooping Tim up to sit in his lap and leaning back against the wall.

"Are you sure you're not tired?"

"Certain" He insisted, stretching out like a cat before pressing himself into Bruces's hold and tucking his face away from the rest of the world into his shoulder "I'm never tired actually"

His lips twitched again. This was very comfortable, and he missed little moments like this with his kiddo.

"Whatever you say, chum."

Tim seemed satisfied with Bruce's agreement in this state, nuzzling deeper into him in approval and nodding "I'm right" he mumbled under his breath "Howcome we're both vigilantes but you run so much warmer than I do? I'm like an ice block"

"We just have different body types, sweetheart."

Bruce leaned his head back against the wall. The stress that had been building eased.

"You should have stronger genetics then, Gotham's already cold i wanna be warm" he huffed, not really having any issues but enjoying having the privlage of being able to be upset about little pointless things and it being entertained, not needing to have any guard up with his dad around him

"If we ever find a way to alter genetics like that, I'll be sure to let you know." He said dryly. "For now I'll just have to share my warmth with you."

"Oh. Yeah" he said remembering he indeed did not have Bruce's genetics, he thought back to his parents to see if there was any correlation there but hed only ever hugged his mother for long and she was normal temperature

Then he thought he was overthinking it decided to be happy with being able to steal his dads heat again "m gonna take aaaallll of it" he dramatised, hugging Bruce tighter

Very few things made Bruce as happy as when his kids forgot they weren't blood related, for some reason. His eyes crinkled at the corners a little when he saw Tim mentally correct himself.

"You want me to die of hypothermia? Cruel, Timothy."

Tim giggled to himself, voice barely audible due to the fabric of Bruces shirt being pushed up to it “We have enough blankets you’ll be fineeee, you’ve had warmth long enough, my turn”

He raised one eyebrow, slowly lifting one hand to gently card his fingers through Tim's hair. "Only if you'll share a little with me when you steal it all."

Tim lifted his face up pretty quickly pressing his head into Bruces hand enjoying the feeling “mmm I shall consider it, indeed.”

The corners of his eyes crinkled a little bit with his smile. "I should hope so or I'll only let you steal half."

“Nooo. No. M taking it all you can’t stop me” he pushed with dragged out playful words

"I'll steal some back if you don't share." He returned just as teasingly.

"So mean. You don't love me clearly" he said pouting, putting a tiny bit of distance between them to drive his point home

"You want me to freeze in the next snowstorm, Timmy, I get to keep some of my warmth." He chuckled.

"You don't love meeeeeee" he insisted again crossing his arms instead of hugging Bruce but not getting to far

"Yes I do, but who's going to make sure you don't push the limits of human capacity if I freeze?" Bruce did his best to look mock-hurt. He wasn't very good at this, but it was getting easier.
