Steel + Concrete @ N. 12th Place, Phoenix,AZ

The property is located in a floodplain and the client wanted to build a strong 2'-0" wall around the front of the property that would with be both decorative and functional.

Gabion @ 12th Place, Phoenix,AZ 

The project called for a solution in the form of a wall (alley wall) that created privacy but was provided visibility for the owners to see who was in the alley. We also incorporated a motion sensor light to illuminate the alley at night when there is activity in the alley.

Completed construction documents for the real estate developer and contractor to execute this wonderful project. Converted garage into additional bedroom with attached bathroom, a laundry room,  as-built drawing for existing addition removing some interior walls and made an addition to the back to create an open layout and designed custom front and back patio. Collaborator Ernesto Fonseca.

Guggenheim Museum and Google -  Design It: Shelter Competition

On the occasion of Frank Lloyd Wright’s birthday, June 8, the Guggenheim Museum and Google launched Design It: Shelter Competition, a global, online initiative that invites the public to use Google Earth and Google SketchUp to create and submit designs for virtual 3-D shelters for a location of their choice anywhere on Earth.

The competition takes its inspiration from Learning By Doing, an exhibition at the Guggenheim Museum’s Sackler Center for Arts Education, which features plans, photographs, and models of shelters built by students at the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture.

2009 Design Excellence Award

 This is the introduction video from my architectural thesis that I presented on May 2nd 2009 at Arizona State University. Redevelopment of urban alleys as armatures for the development of small scale housing in aging neighborhoods with high property values.

Palm Drive / Tempe,AZ 

Frontyard landscape redesign that included removing the existing rock, an invasive chinaberry tree, planting some prairie grasses and some hybrid desert trees. We also expanded the front patio to increase activity in the front and some large poured-in-place concrete steps.

DWR Champagne Chair_Exhibit Tour The competition called for an original miniature chair using only the foil, label, cage and cork from one Champagne bottle. The design was selected to tour as an exhibit piece to various Design Within Reach stores around the United States.
