I am crushed that he is leaving. But in his defense, I don't think this was all his doing. The networks have a lot of influence on what gets on the screen and what doesn't.

Megan's beef was with NBC, not JB. And it appears JB's problem is also with NBC. I am sure he and JE had their ending all planned, but the network appeared to call the shots on this one following Megan's 'war' with them. It felt like a big 'screw you' from NBC to Megan, and that JB isn't happy with them having done that.

So I don't blame him completely for what happened last night. He created a show I have loved and lived and breathed for 8 years, and to me it feels like he couldn't take what NBC were pushing on him to do, essentially stifling his vision.
