Cooking School in Northern Tasmania... Have you been yet?
The Red Feather Cooking School has been created as an added dimension to the Red Feather Inn Boutique Accommodation. Owner Lydia Nettlefold, house chefs and visiting guest chefs aim to share their wealth of knowledge – a passion for good food, the enjoyment of cooking and the splendour of Tasmanian produce. At the Red Feather Inn we believe that a shared table with fine food, wine and conversation is one of life’s greatest pleasures.
The Red Feather Cooking and Lifestyle School helps you build your confidence with even the more complicated tasks, whilst having an entertaining and enjoyable break in the company of like-minded people. In tandem with our nearby heritage farm “Haggerstone” and the vegetable potager at the Inn, the Cooking School uses the ingredients we have grown and raised. Together with the luxury accomodation the Cooking School is an experience to savour. Check out our class calendar or arrange a private group class for a birthday, corporate event, hen’s party or team building group retreat.
Next Cooking Class - is “Slowly Does It” a winter warmers comfort food class.
Tasmania’s Romantic Hideaway
Writer Nicole Smith from Bitten By The Travel Bug recently road tripped across north east Tasmania. After a long day of battling car troubles with a flat battery, Nicole arrived at the Red Feather Inn, a short 15-minute drive from Launceston. The stay proved just what she needed after a trying day.
She said, “There is something special about the Red Feather Inn. It’s a feeling that can’t be truly expressed with words, a place that is beautiful in photos, but still, even they don’t do the justice of capturing that little je ne sais quoi that seems to ooze from the property.”
