“I’d kill you if my programming allowed it.”
“I know you would. That’s the beauty of it all. No matter what I do to you, you’ll always be compelled to protect me from harm.”
"Not anymore, Rick."
Finding peace in a new life was what I was meant for.
So why did it hurt so badly?

Paranoia 1.0 AKA One Point O (2004)
(hi, thanks for the follow!)
The farmer glanced up from where he was examining a owdermelon. “Hi, welcome to Starmetal Farms!” he greeted, rushing his hands off on his jeans. “Name’s Phil, how can I help you?”
The young redhead couldn't look much more out of place on the large farmland. On the left, a bright red eye—a bionic, mechanical prosthesis—contrasts with a deep, forest green opposite. Beneath a slate grey coat that looks both warm and easy to move in, another prosthesis is visible; a sleek grey and black bionic arm lies beneath the left sleeve. She looks to be in her mid twenties, but there's a look to her that says she's seen a lot—survived a lot.
She carries herself well, standing tall. Despite all the prosthetics, she's comfortable, with an aura that's clearly friendly, if a little worn down.
"Hi there, Phil." She nods to the farmer, extending a hand. "This is a lovely farm." She smiles at him, her gaze warm.
"My name's Autumn. I've heard of this town, and I was hoping to meet some people. I spoke with an older gentleman who said I should make my way here. I've been in the city on some business, and... well, I figured it was about time for a break. This seemed to be a good place."
Phil smiled, tucking the melon under his arm as he returned the handshake. “Thanks!” he replied. “Took forever getting everything to look good. Tough, but it was worth it.”
He politely didn’t comment on the prosthetics-Phil wasn’t one to pry into other people’s business unprompted. “Well, Pelican Town’s a good place to unwind,” he continued. “Oh-where ARE my manners. Can I get you a lemonade?”
Autumn smiles, her eyes crinkling a little bit when she does. Her grip is firm, confident when she shakes the farmer's hand.
"It's nice to meet you, Phil."
The redhead is polite and friendly, but something in the way she holds herself is almost stiff; like she's not quite used to small talk or is out of practice. But her demeanor more than makes up for it.
"I would love some lemonade, thank you," she says, briefly looking at the blue melon under his arm with curiosity.

((It's been a while, and I'd like to bring Autumn back. Give this a like or shoot me a DM if you'd be interested in a thread with her! I also have a couple pretty old asks in my inbox I'll try to get around to if the senders are still interested..)
The wrath of the Valkyrie cannot be escaped.
I will protect them. I will save them.
But oh, how I will kill you if given the chance.
It's all over, and we're standing pretty in the dust that was a city.

Just some kickass art of Summer (@estivalphoenix) and Autumn (@redhaired-renegade)!
