read this poem. what do you think of it?
“At last, the autumn winds found us once more.” -A.R. (September Arrival)
This poem immediately instilled a sense of hope in me. Both autumn and wind have connotations of change, and the “at last” and “once more” point me towards the expectation, and therefore, hope of the change that autumn winds bring-- which seems to be a running theme in my life this fall. In other words, I love it, it makes me feel serene and at peace with the change that the autumn winds will surely bring.

To the man out of Christ, the fall of the year, in spite of its many charms, must surely bring with it a deep and hidden terror. For it speaks of the approaching end, the time when it may be said, The summer is ended, and we are not saved. It would be good indeed if the autumn winds could preach to the lost soul of the brevity of life and the long winter ahead.
The true Christian will not be saddened by the winds that herald the approach of winter. Like the wise ant he has made his preparation, and while the gusty tempest howls over him, he will sleep sweet in Christ while the circle of the heavens moves on toward the consummation of all things of which Moses and the prophets have spoken.
Happy man who knows that everything is well with him and that he will be among the blessed in that day when the breath of Jesus, like a breeze of spring, shall stir the sleeping dead to life again after the long night.

late night rant aside, this is a painting of myvery first oc, Harvest Moon, the lost alicorn. originally she was supposed to be running to apple cider but turns out brush presets dont save per painting and change everytime u use them. which fuckin sucks cuz i cant get back to the way they were unless i really toy around with them and thats so much effort that i am fresh out of. anyway, enjoy this painting, im gonna go to bed.
