Still alive, and doing well. Wishing all of my moots, current and past, the best of days! Not coming back to this account in the foreseeable future, but I have had a busy time IRL these past few months. I’ve gotten involved with politics on a more hands on level, and did some work during the election, and intend to do so again this fall for more local ones. Speaking with delegates and people in local office, and getting your voice out there is more important than ever at this time. Finally got some more testing done, and got formally diagnosed with OCD with fair/good insight. This has been a life saver, and has given me access to resources that have been a huge game changer for me. I also found out I have “level 2” support needs due to my autism, not “level 1” as previously assumed. Apparently when being shown my results, they told me “Your abnormally high IQ is likely why you weren’t diagnosed with high support needs sooner” which I think is a load of crap. I have the potential for intelligence, but believe me I have used VERY little of that “potential” in my life. Still, this has also been a miracle in terms of getting accommodations so I could function at my best. Found out I have a very high level of Adrogen (in my case a shit ton of testosterone, so trans mascs please come harvest mine for yourselves) and am now on medication for it, but seeing next to no changes in the symptoms I actually care about. Still rocking in local community theatres, and getting roles and being in shows that I have longed to for years.

On the slightly sadder but unavoidable side, I have had a multitude of deaths in the family and among the people around me. Clinical depression and depressive episodes have had very little progress over the past year or so. Despite that, I live, and more importantly I choose to live every single day. It is painful, infinity so, but I discover a new series of comics, or sit in a state park and watch the children nearby learn to ride a bike for the first time. It is still hollow most of the time, but sometimes, a spare spark lights in me, and it is addictive.

One of my craziest acephobic experiences was when somebody accused me of being addicted to hard-core drugs because according to them, “Drug abuse can cause low libido.” I told them I’ve never done hard-core drugs in my life, so then he proceeded to tell me, I must be on antidepressants or something. Once again, I told him no I’ve never been on any drugs and I’ve never been diagnosed with any mental health problems. Asexuality is not low libido but he kept insisting tht something was wrong with me because “everyone needs sex, it’s human nature and sex is normal/natural etc.” 😒🤦🏽‍♀️
