Aside from her mask, she is not in her usual garb but a long, silk, deep green saree with golden embroidery, a perfect match for the heavy gold accents dangling from her ears and hugging her throat. An immaculate image, a vision of grace and allure.
When the massive double doors pull open and the occupants pour out the chamber and into the hall she waits patiently, eyeing the crowd for one face (or mask) in particular. Once he’s spotted, Jade pushes off the pillar supporting her weight and saunters up to him.

Diplomacy isn't all it was cracked up to be. There are days like today - today especially - when Erron would prefer violence over having to hear bureaucrats argue over what they think is the best option for peace. All the chatter sounds like a bunch of hot air only spewed to keep the ship afloat. Yet he sits properly, his hands resting on the table in the final moments before the Kahnum calls forth her final solution and the dye is cast. Most important of all, he can now go home.
Tired bones crack when he rolls his neck. Fast fingers make quick work of the various buckles hiding his thoroughly annoyed features. Lips lick in anticipation knowing they'll be pressed against the end of a cigarette as soon as he's free of the palace, but destiny has other plans in store for him. Placing his wife outside the exit, waiting for him with open arms. An angel clad in green and gold and painkiller like no other. The hand on his shoulder brushes the heaviness of the day away. He takes her hand, kissing her fingers.
"I'm born again when I see you, Angel." Freshly emerged like a newly baptized babe, he pulls her onto his arm. "And what a sight you are, like a new spring flower."
One day he'll dress the part of a diplomat as she does, but right now he's helpless to soak in her light.
"I need to get lost for a little bit, or I fear I may let my true feelin's on issues be known an' I thrust us into another lifelong war."
