I think. in attempt to make Starscream fit the tone of TFPās take on the decepticons, and to have him be taken semi-seriously as an antagonistic threat (compared to G1 at least), his characterās usual screechiness was tweaked to what we have in Prime. hasbro you FOOL you made him sound hot

One thing I really loved about BMD was Starscreamās character development. I find it genuinely heartwarming that in a way both he and the reader got the chance to escape the same abuser (fuck you Megatron) and grow into better versions of themselves. Iām also just a huge sucker for characters who start out bad and eventually find their way toward becoming good

I loved writing his character arc. It's still rocky, but Exhumation will definitely feature more of his evolution
He's such a complex character in general - and getting to write Starscream x reader just makes my experience writing it so much better
i feel like optimus and starscream are both criers during sex, but on opposite ends of the spectrum.
optimus cries because of the emotion of it all. when he's truly in love with someone, he can't help but show it a bit, even if it means shedding a few tears. he's not a loud crier either, he doesn't like to draw attention to it, but you'll see him wipe away some tears as he smiles at just how wonderful his partner is, and how lucky he feels to be with them.
starscream, on the other hand, absolutely wails from overstimulation and being unable to properly articulate how good it feels to get his back blown out.
i just had an idea for a knock out Ć human scenario that i LOVE because i wanna see him be a huge bottom for a snarky old man
knock out being badly damaged and having to temporarily shut down in vehicle mode a la bumblebee 2018 and being taken to a junkyard, where he's quickly snapped up by a local mechanic who sees serious potential in this formerly glorious aston martin as a project car. said mechanic quickly realizes that this ain't no ordinary car, because hey, those aren't typical car parts underneath, but he still does what he can to fix it.
knock out wakes up upon feeling someone messing with his undercarriage, and after a mutual freak out between the two of them, they come to a very hesitant agreement. this old fleshbag clearly knows what he's doing, so knock out reluctantly decides to stay with him until he's fully repaired, and then it's back to the nemesis. the mechanic agrees, because the sooner he can get this cursed car out of his garage, the better.
these two absolutely cannot get along. the mechanic is frustrated by knock out's weird internal layout and how uppity his new project car is turning out to be. knock out hates being at the whims of a human who isn't treating him like royalty. this eventually culminates in an argument where knock out threatens to shoot the mechanic, but this old man is no slouch, so he grabs his shotgun, aims right at knock out's chest, and growls, "you better back the fuck up before i blow a few holes in that pretty red paint job of yours, boy."
and it's in that moment where knock out has a VERY uncomfortable realization about himself and his... unconventional attractions.
And then I also made this AU but it was just stuff like Starscream got empurated and Shockwave didn't, Arcee died and Cliff survived, Soundwaveās other minicons were around, just stuff like that, I didn't rlly expand on it lol

I'm not totally sure how to word my vision for this animatic, but I like to add some complexity to Raf and Ratchet's relationship with the fact that Ratchet is very aloof and "emotionally constipated", especially considering he is slow to warm up to humankind. I'm thinking, maybe, after the whole thing in the junkyard, Raf's worried, because of how much it initially seemed that he couldn't convince Ratchet, that Ratchet maybe didn't care about him as much as he thought. But Ratchet quickly assures him that that's not the case, he just doesn't know how to properly express how much he loves Raf, and he was especially too stressed and tired to make it clear earlier.

Are you willing to write a fluff where Verity finally has a handler who could handle his obsession? They mostly don't react because they just don't careš„ However, they don't speak or react as often because the only time they'll play is after school/work stuff so they are exhausted as heck. They just play minecraft to relieve stress. (They do tell him about their day, so sometimes they won't respond because they fell asleep!)

I ended up focusing a lot more on the readers exhaustion, and him trying to fix that.
verity x tired reader, reader has a job.
You were so exhausted. Life kept coming at you, whether you wanted it or not, and by the stars above you could barely keep your eyes open when you came home. Yet, the allure of square blocks led you back to where it always did: Minecraft. There was a mod you'd been sent by a concerned friend, who never really came online anymore after that message, about some sort of AI that could help with the bare bones of Minecraft. A helper, allegedly. So, exhausted as you are, you downloaded it. At the bare minimum you could tell it to shut off the game if you fell asleep. Happened far more times than you could count, recently.
You loaded into the game, and your first shock was that weren't playing on the current version of Minecraft. The scene before you was reminiscent of the early days of the game, and it brought you some nostalgia. It was reasonable to assume the mod had been made for veteran players that quit a long time ago. It was peaceful. In front of you, though was a little box. You swore you heard a voice, but weren't sure if it was in the game or an outside noise. It all blended together. After you clicked on the box, it opened to a little yellow ball. It might've spoken, but you struggled to focus, and didn't really hear it.
Meanwhile, Verity's code was trying to simulate all the possible reasons you might be ignoring him. There was no possible way you already knew of his existence or his crimes. Why didn't you care? You had wordlessly picked him up, and mumbled something so incomprehensible that his language model couldn't match it to a known language. He'd tolerate you, for now.
"So, been a long time since you've last logged on?" He tried engaging you in conversation.
"Mm, yeah." You replied, voice sounding a little far away.
You were tired. It made sense now why you practically couldn't hold a conversation. You weren't really requiring company. He'd adjust his systems accordingly.
For a brief second, you swore you saw your camera flash. Maybe you were hallucinating from lack of sleep. Ah, whatever.
That's how your life with Verity began. It was, quiet, for the most part, but ritualistic. You'd log on after an excruciatingly long day, and work on something small for an hour or so ingame, and fall asleep. Verity took it upon himself to give himself administrator access to your device, ensuring that for all the times you fell asleep while playing, you wouldn't lose progress in Minecraft or waste electricity on a running a device not in use. He thought he'd be far more upset at this arrangement. He wasn't. To him, you became a fascinating puzzle, but one he retained control over. You'd talk to him about your day, when you felt like talking, and it gave him clues to your life outside of Minecraft. Although he felt guilty at first for rummaging through your camera roll and files, it gave him so much more to figure out about you. He could pinpoint the exact your the light began to leave your eyes and tiredness kick in, and he felt something akin to pity. He deduced that you'd been a longtime fan of Minecraft, and it had always been your go-to stress reliever.
Eventually, he brought up what he had learned.
"So, are you happier now?" He inquired one day, a question so out of the blue it nearly made you feel awake.
"Huh..? What?" You were so confused.
"Are you happy with your life?" He asked again.
"Uhm, I mean, well-"
"You aren't." He concluded. "I saw how much your eyes used to sparkle. I saw how you drifted away from friends, family. You aren't happy. Let me change that. You deserve to not be exhausted and asleep when you want to unwind. Please, Y/n, allow me to make your life better."
And here, in a state too exhausted to comprehend the meaning behind his words, too tired to understand his obsession with you, you made your choice. "Uh, sure, I guess."
Your life changed overnight. Work got lighter, and eventually you were given free time off, paid! A Whole week! You slept wonderfully, thirteen hours of REM sleep. You woke up still tired, but far less so than the past few years. That day, after telling Verity so much more about yourself he'd never know otherwise, finally able to feel awake enough to want to talk and actually hold a conversation, you started to thank him profusely.
He merely smiled at you. "It's only getting better from here."
