Cool site
I reject the famous math proof of "Alan Turing" that no general algorithm can solve the Halting Problem on every input (perfectly predict on any input whether a given computer program will complete vs run forever).
In his proof by contradiction, Alan Turing assumed that the sufficiently capable general algorithm is required to output its prediction to the console. By which he claimed one could simply construct a "trick program" that reads as an input a prediction of its own terminal behaviour while choosing to do the exact opposite (ie: halt if Al predicts it loops forever, and loop forever if Al predicts it halts). But what if the candidate solution program is an Al that can peer review source code and pass the "Turing Test" for human likeness? Then AI perfectly both predicts and decides the trick program's outcome by consciously publishing a calculated lie. Alan Turing's whole proof is therefore predicated on the misplaced inapplicable faulty game-theoretic requirement for "truthful reporting" in functional programming.
Can't believe you tagged yourself with #genius, that's wild.
First, the turing test has nothing to do with the halting problem, these are completely unrelated concepts.
The predict function is not really referred to as an "ai", but just code, but whatever.
You missed the whole point of the proof.
The "trick" program doesn't lie to the predictor, it *uses* the predictor on itself.
No matter how clever your predictor is, it has to spit an answer - halt or not.
Then the program returns the opposite answer. By definition it has to be wrong - if the predictor could have returned a different answer - it would have already.
my dating history involves 2 soundcloud rappers, 3 drug dealers, 1 drug trafficker, and 1 youtuber. you could maybe understand why i don’t think there’s anything good left in the world out there
Tumblr is pretty up there in the rankings of social medias where it's culturally acceptable to tell people to kill themselves. I think the folk around that are proud of that, but they probably shouldn't be?

Wow what a coincidence that anti Zionist threads turn into anti semitism every time
There couldn't be a big overlap, no, it's just tons and tons of isolated incidents

Another anti-zionist L:
They discovered that a game publishing company is ran by the daughter of Larry Ellison, the CEO of oracle and a known supoorter of Israel (he's a shitty person but that's not the point here)
So OP really tries to find proof that the daughter is also a supporter of Israel.
And the only thing they find is her helping publisb a documentary about a terror attack in Israel.
Like they couldn't pick a nicer thing for her - helping to get the voices of terrorist victims heard - but for them it's condemnation.
BTW - later in the thread people post proof that unlike her father she is progressive anti-trumper. Not enough for them. Wonder why?
So now they either boycott some of the best games this decade (Outer Wilds, Neon White, What Remains Of Edith Finch are all amazing), or they encourage pirating them - because they're fine that those indie devs won't get paid if it means that someone who doesn't hate Israel doesn't get either.
I do think part of the problem is not knowing who to trust. The circle gets smaller, and so you circle your wagons, but there is going to be a nagging possibility that someone there, someone in your safe camp, wants you dead. They probably don't think of it that way, they don't think of you specifically as the enemy. But one day you will say something that marks you as the enemy, and the safe camp will not be safe anymore. So even safe, even among trustworthy allies, you walk on eggshells.
the person who wants you dead will consider you a close friend, because they only see you when you tiptoe around the big topics — the ones that would mark you. You have a choice to make every time you interact with someone. Do you pretend that they are verifiably allied? Or do you test the waters? Testing can be dangerous, even if someone does not want you dead. They might be offended by the idea of being tested. They might leave, and your circle will be that much smaller.
Wow you see this just proves israel is a terrorist sta...
Oh, it's Hezbollah who did this?
Weird.. it's almost like it's not on the title on purpose to make people assume things..

Incredible new picture of earth from the Artemis 2 mission.
But look what the Palestine brain worms do to a person.
Not only bringing it up to something not even slightly related.
THE PICTURE DOESN'T EVEN SHOW PALESTINE.
You can see some of South Europe, North Africa and South America, but no middle east.
Imagine being this obsessive over Palestine but not being able to locate it on a map.
Sadly it didn't work I'm not dead
