          Kazuha always waited for his crewmates and friends to turn in for the night, just to give himself those few moments between him, the night, and the sea breeze. On this night, however, they have company in the traveler. The quiet between the two leaves room for the sound of the surrounding waves lapping against the hull of the ship, but Kazuha’s own voice soon joins the silence. 

          “If you do not mind my asking, dear friend,” He finally draws his eyes away from the darkened horizon to Lumine. “What are they like, your twin? You seldom speak of them, so it leaves one to wonder.”

          “I see very little reason for us to train when you are already this skilled, Aether.” The jest sits just upon a laugh as Kazuha finds his footing once again. The constant contact of the bamboo blades, the labored breathing, the weight of lead settling in his legs—it’s all a familiar, welcomed feeling, unknowingly missed after months of having not trained with a partner. He lets his grip fall a bit more slack upon the blade’s hilt.

          “Perhaps it’s time for a break, lest we get too tired to make the arduous trek back to the ship. What do you think?”

          kazuha will be using “emo” in his next haiku.

          “According to Venti, I must ‘quit my job’—a job of which I do not have—and join his—what is the word again? ah—’emo band.’”

"i'd say, your flute playing makes my weary heart swell! perhaps you should consider becoming a traveling bard as well."

          The bard's presence had long since been heard by Kazuha, and he's only grateful the other let him complete his song. "The compliment is greatly appreciated. However, I believe it is best for me to simply be a wandering traveler and play my flute whenever nature inspires me."

          The docks of Liyue harbor are bustling as usual, and the crew, upon stepping off the alcor, seamlessly melts into the many dockhands and merchants, off to handle their business. Kazuha turns to their newest member ( no longer a stowaway, in his mind ), his smile genial. 

          “Barbara, would you like to come with me to explore a bit of liyue for a time? The nature just beyond the city is quite beautiful. Or we can stay within the city proper if that is what you prefer.”
