Why did I make a new blog? Because I felt like I wasn't being entirely sincere with how I presented myself on my previous one. I also followed many people that made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe, and, thus, I felt utterly unable to reach out to others. This time, I'm gonna be upfront about it:

I support, defend and consume all kinds of fictional content made by and for adults. I am against harassment and censorship. If these beliefs don't align with yours, block me and move on with your life.

the two stipulations of being proship are anti-harassment and anti-censorship. this is important, and we should all remember it, since there are many blogs that claim to be proship and then act like antishippers.

if you "allow" certain types of darkships but then harass people for others, you are not proship. liking incest or age-gap ships does not make someone proship.

if you are anti-harassment "except for antis", then you are not proship. you cannot choose when to be anti-harassment based on your own convenience.

if you claim to be proship but then say that some fiction shouldn't exist because you think it's "wrong", you are not proship. censorship is not a scalpel, it's a sledgehammer.

this works the other way, too, for people who have been misinformed and believe that "proship" means "problematic ship".

if you find something disgusting and choose to block and move on instead of harassing people, you are proship. minding your business is good, provided a living being isn't being hurt.

if you hate that some books exist, but acknowledge that censorship is dangerous, you are proship. you are allowed to hate things without falling into fascist beliefs.

if you exclusively enjoy lightships but let others enjoy whatever they want, you are proship. liking dark fiction is not a requirement to being proship.

of course, there are other stances that seem somewhat synonymous with being proship, such as being pro-kink and anti-radqueer, but it's important to remember that anti-harassment and anti-censorship are the core parts of proship. you cannot be proship and pro-harassment. you cannot be proship and pro-censorship. it's all or nothing. you're either anti-harassment and anti-censorship, or you are not proship. it's that simple.
