town doctor has finally been figured out - her name is rachel anderson & she's the second cousin of sarah drake, the two sides of the family are estranged & do not want anything to do with each other. this feud passed down the years & rachel etc don't really know their extended family beyond basic lies. she moved away when she graduated high school & studied medicine. she became a talented but overworked doctor that got to the burnout stage after 17yrs which was what brought her back to the town for a vacation at the age of 35, which in turn led to her helping out the local practice before being talked into taking a permanent decision.

rachel is a very logical person. for her, believing is rooted in fact & proof. when faced with the extraordinary or the unbelievable, she tends to reason it away. anything out of the norm is somewhat unsettling & always puts her on edge. outwith that, she's a deeply compassionate person, fantastic with kids & has a dry sense of humour.

human cousin of sarah from the mother's side so different surname ( haven't figured that part out yet ) & she's the town doctor - moved away after hs graduation then came back to settle back into small town life in her 30s, probably doesn't have knowledge of the supernatural bc drama & someone should give her a baby bc this is just adorable.
