I met with my surgeon for the first time today! We both agreed that the #gastricsleeve was the right choice for me! I have my psych eval on the 30th (required by lame insurance) and to be determined dates for meetings with dietitians. My surgeon thinks it’ll be a few months still before I go under the knife but finally the process has started!  I started doing a loose diet based on keto/low carb a couple weeks ago and now being out of the carb-detox phase I feel pretty good. I miss cereal. I’m doing this so that I can give myself the best chance at the post-op diet by cutting the bad out now.  My support system is pretty tiny so I’m hoping to connect with other vsg/bariatric babes out there! 

My current stats: Height: 5′1 HW: 308lb (January 2020? Ish?) CW: 290lb (-18lb so far) GW: I don’t know! TBD! Any BMI chart I look at wants be to be at around 130lb but that seems crazy and unattainable so for now I guess my first goal is 240lbs? Sure. We’ll go with that.

Made a second blog--this one is for my weight loss/health journey. My main page is @disarrey​. 

I met with my primary care doc today about moving forward with weight loss surgery (hoping for the gastric sleeve) and she was hella supportive and like proud? of me? It was weird and nice. Anyway she sent me for a referral so hopefully the ball is rolling! My current weight is 301lb, HW 308lb. 

I’m hoping to find people who are on a similar journey! Leave a comment or a like or something if you want me to check out your tumblr.. hoping to make some friends in the wl/wls community.
